Gearhead Jim Belosic has managed to make his 1981 Honda Accord go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds by stuffing it with drivetrain bits from a Tesla Model S P85. The custom parts added a bit of height to the vehicle, so he had to add huge drag tires to even things out.

Even the most hardcore EV-hater would have a hard time saying that this over 500 horsepower build isn’t an improvement over the stock Accord engine, which only made about 40 to 50 horsepower with all the extra California-mandated emissions equipment.

But my range anxiety! If everyone starts doing this, the electrical grid will fail!

i bet doable for $10k minus man hours. there was that guy that bought 2 wrecks and put them together for just over 10k. so with that old ass accord its prob less.

Would have been more impressive if he could have maintained the sleeper look... Jacked up all to hell isn't doing much for aerodynamics... other than helping with lift-off once up to speed.

Should have made some custom control arms. I hate the gasser look.

Otherwise nice to see more being done with EV in the aftermarket.

i was half expecting the body of the car to remain at the start, but the drive train to blast off leaving it behind.. cartoon style.

You are free to make your own custom car that someone else will probably hate the look of.

The more I See e-swaps the more I want to do it to my Honda s2k. Already has a dry sump LS3 xD.
Great build.

And people saying it'll cost 10k are joking and or have no idea. Damn motec costs few grand as it is.
