As title.
I noticed that GeForce Experience does not boot anymore on my Windows 10 system.

I don't get alerts about new release of GFExperience or new drivers.
How can I fix this?

Thanks

Uninstall/reinstall? I had a similar issue, and I think that fixed it for me.

Have you tried DDU?

It's literally the "nuke from orbit" option.

Also in somewhat recent versions of GeForce Experience, it no longer has a tray icon and does not run in the background, you must launch it yourself.

the problem is not related to bad installation, it seems that nvidia removed the boot on startup feature on newer geforce experience.

Just do it the old fashioned way and add a shortcut to GFE in your startup folder.

X:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

You can go straight to that folder by typing shell:startup in a Run dialog box.

Comix is right. The only way you get notifications now is when you're running a game with the overlay. It was a stupid decision on NVIDIA's part. I think it was more of a "we can't fix the disappearing icon, so let's get rid of it" situation than "decreasing the program's footprint." You can always minimize it to the taskbar, instead of closing it, I guess. The 1709 Windows 10 update is going to automatically throttle programs running in the background, anyway.

This is what I call a dirty workaround but hey, it works!
I don't know if I want to workaround or wait for a fix from nvidia.

If you press the hotkey for "sharing" you'll see that GeForce Experience is running in the background for capture.

Default is Alt + Z

Shadow of Mordor branded drivers?
Knocks you over the head, steals your money, and leaves a suspicious crate next to your body?

Sorry should have been more specific:

I do get notified of new drivers.

I also got notified of their weirdo GeForce rewards, which right now they have a promotion to give away Shadow of Mordor, among other things.

But before everyone bitched about GFE starting with their system and running...
