Hi guys.

I finally got a new laptop. Same model as my previous one. However I have a really strange issue. A bit long winded but here goes.

I did a factory recovery using the built in partition and everything works fine. Apart from the harddrive itself being slow (on its way out possibly. It can't do windows updates without crashing) but apart from that. It works. Running home premium.

I switched the harddrive from my old laptop straight into the new one. (They're the same model. Same year etc . Samsung np305v5a)

And everything booted right up. I got to my previous desktop. Works fine. Except Bluetooth. Even with rolling back the drivers. Trying the newest. Everything. I can't get my Bluetooth devices to be detected on the old harddrive running win 7 ultimate. The adapter and drivers install fine. It just can't find the devices let alone connect. Thought i might have damaged the aerial. So I switched back to the laptops original harddrive to check . Bluetooth devices showed right up and connected (specifically a Bluetooth speaker) checked the driver versions. And they're identical on each harddrive. I'm quite tech savvy but what the hell am I missing? Been scratching my head for hours now .

Win 7 ultimate. The old hdd the one of rather use is home premium. But the recovery partition doesn't have a restore image which is weird. So I can't format without buying a new license. And I didn't get the free upgrade to win 10 for some reason. I Was told it's because it was because ots a pre installed os

Use produkey to get product key. Download Windows X to USB with Media Creation Tool. Install Windows X and enter product key from Windows 7.

I just used a Windows 7 Starter Edition product key to install Windows 10 this past Sunday. It activated.

connect to the internet and install the laptop specific drivers for the BT module... also you can use MS media creation tool to update a Windows 7 installation to Windows 10. I just upgraded a new Venue 11 Pro with Win 8.1 pro to Win 10 pro
