How long before EVGA/MSI and others to reflood the market with new stock ?

I don't think you'll see a "flood" of new stock. Some retailers will probably get a handful in every few days which will likely be bought out by miners within 10 minutes.

I had sent a message to Newegg re: RX 580 shipments and they weren't even able to provide a date estimate. Midrange market is apparently non-existent.

High end and low end are pretty much typical prices. It's just midrange cards that are out of sorts

Ordered an open box Ztoac GTX 1080 Amp Extreme for my ITX build before the prices fly up anymore.

Just saw second hand XFX GTR RX480 sell for £300 ($380) last night on Ebay.

I paid £260 for mine about 9 months ago.

Most Polaris 20 cards seems to have been pushed back to august 2 for delivery. Polaris 21 is also out of stock and I doubt people use that for mining. But they are getting back in stock next week.

GTX 1070 seems to come back in stock next week and GTX 1060 the week after for those not in stock.

The mining market is too volatile for AMD, Nvidia, and their OEM partners to up production for. A sudden crash and then they have way too much stock on hand. Hell, it might make sense for them to draw production down slightly, since when the cryptocoin market bursts there will be a ton of used cards flooding the market.

And as a side note, I know both AMD and Nvidia are working on mining only cards, but I don't see them gaining much traction in the market, since they can't be resold to gamers if the price of cryptocoins goes down. What would make more sense to me is for one of the OEMs to put a heavy-duty industrial fan on the card, that is also easy to replace. It is my understanding that it is usually the fan that goes bad on used cards; the chips themselves are run undervolted and at a steady load (no-thermal cycling) and are thus unlikely to go bad.

This is jacked. I hope Bitcoin tanks fast and soon.

I hope it all tanks it's a waste of time money "except it's currency" energy and completely useless shell game unless you got hooked from the start and enjoyed the ride 10 years ago to become a instant millionaire.

I'm still kicking myself for laughing at bitcoiners and not getting in on it in 2006 when it was still easy and I wasn't paying for power for my 6970. I still think it's dumb but I could've profited from it at least.

few things can compare to a shortage of fair priced medium high end gaming cards to help one decide to move on from gaming with a PC, especially after the major 5 year wait let down experience one receives playing Mass Effect Andromeda

I'm looking for a GTX 1060 for the normal price that was like a couple of months ago.
They're making them as fast as they can. I mean, unless you want to donate a couple hundred billion dollars so they can build more fabs.

I don't know why you guys cant get any. I have seen MSI models in stock at newegg for last three days. Msi Gaming X, Msi Aero (small form factore) and top end msi gaming x model. Pricing was 269.99, 279.99 and 299.99. They do come in stock all the time, set notifications and down load the newegg app. Make a frequent habit to get them. I am mining as well but I have had to work hard to get my cards. May be I am just looking harder then others. I have grabbed 6 gtx 1060s in the last 2 weeks from newegg all normal pricing.

I think that's just you, friend.
