Someone actually took the time to make an hour-long version of Terminator 2 using GTAV, and they probably spent a considerable time on it since it matches up with the original film better than I would have expected. The original video was actually in Russian, but the author recently made this English version available. Those who are expecting the T-800 smiling scene may be disappointed, though.

Rockstar approves?

This is proof of why we need a good terminator game. It would be amazing as long as there were no "go here and fetch John a slushy" missions.

Agreed... the Terminator franchise deserves a great game... I really enjoyed skynet back in the day... a remake would be awesome.

I was just thinking:
A terminator game that is a mixture of elements from X-Com, CoD/BF, and FC 3/4...

CoD/BF element: you choose between characters/roles. Start the game selecting the Terminator side or human resistance side.

FC 3/4 element: pretty open world style gameplay between storyline missions...take over bases/settlements (certain bases will be sole sources of certain materials...see below), do side missions, aquire better weapons, etc.

X-Com element: you play as SkyNet (Terminator side) or lab specialist (human side), and can research/develop new Terminator models/human soldier roles, vehicle tech, armor tech, weapon tech, recon/surveillance tech, etc that you get to use with the game elements above in future missions/gameplay. Success of earlier missions/settlement conquering to gather needed materials will determine what tech can be researched and how fast they can be deployed. If this type of mission is failed, then each successive attempt gets a little more difficult because your opponent is also developing/deploying new tech!

yeeesh and i didnt think edward furlong could get any uglier but........holy fuck balls

Terminator 2029 was a great game, but after Rampage I pretty much gave up on Bethesda. Future Shock and Skynet: I remember playing a demo for one of them. During this time period, the video game market was growing so fast.
