These can be found new at the moment for 600. This isn't really enough off to be worth it imo.
 
You sure its the IPS model that is selling for 600 new? I think they make a TN version of this monitor as well.

Weird, Newegg had a discount code on their product page, and best buy had been selling it straight up for the 600. I don't know why it changed.

Maybe you saw the price right at the end of a sale or something.

I got one new at Costco for $600. I've also seen posts on SlickDeals where they were as low as $499. I can confirm it's the IPS version as well.
 
I can confirm the $499 Costco price for a new XB1. Bought mine there last month. They still have them at $499, I saw it just a few days ago. Check your local Costco's. The Costco part number is in the Slickdeals thread so you can call to check inventory before you drive down there.

$524 for refurbished is shit, comparatively.
 
I can also confirm buying one new at Costco for $499... This deal isn't so hot. But it's a great monitor!
 
The Costco deal is YMMV big time at this point. The were marked down 2 months almost to that price. Worth checking out still.
