Hello all, just looking for informed opinions here.
I have an i7-3770k on an Asus P8z77-v and an EVGA GTX 1080 FTW on 2x 27" S2716DG GSync monitors...I mostly do casual WoW and FPS games or lite video editing when I am not working on school stuff.
My rig is about 3 years old now, and since I usually upgrade every 18 months I am chomping at the bit to get something new.
My question is, do I go for Kaby Lake, or wait to see what Skylake-X is all about? My assumptions are the Kaby Lake will give me about 33% performance improvement on CPU, but that probably will not translate to much improvement overall in gaming.
Any opinions?
Thanks
Cain
