I was actually surprised to hear what this famous ex-porn star had to say about virtual reality sex and where VR is headed in the industry. The article and accompanying images are all safe for work / school.

"VR porn is too much, too in your face. I watched a trailer once, and that was enough for me," she laughed, speaking to CNBC in Singapore on Saturday. "I don't think people watch porn to have a real experience, it's for fantasy. VR porn is like watching porn on a big-screen TV...I don't want it to be too real."
 
"VR Porn is like watching porn on a big screen" Yes, why do you think that 4K porn and 4K 96" screens came out at the same time? I mean seriously people don't spend 10's of thousands of dollars on big screens just to watch The English Patient in 4K. VR is just a cheaper, more interactive means. Sex dolls, now that is just taking it too far.
 
I would probably agree with this. We purchased a 120hz 4k TV around a month ago and my wife couldn't stand it. I felt the same way, The Force Awakens looked like a movie set/prop and you could so tell it was ALL fake. It really ruined the movies to be honest. Blu-Ray on 1080P with HDR (if possible) is the ultimate viewing experience for me personally.

Now, documentaries and the demos at Best Buy or whatever are amazing on 4k! But, I don't really watch those that much.

It's the same reason Mario 64 came out at the same time as the N64 came out.

If you though that was fake looking then you should see the I Love Lucy Blu-Rays. They make the Force Awakens Blu-Ray look like a window into an alternate reality. Well until Maz and Snoke show up.
 
If I wanted an opinion on the best way to give a guy head, or how to best arch my back and hold my ankles when guys are pounding me, I would absolutely heed her advice.

But she is not the intended audience for porn to decide what is and is not appealing, nor an expert on VR, so all this tells me is that she was self-conscious about seeing herself in great detail up close. So drop the mic and bite the pillow, love.
 
She may have some valid opinions. From what others have told me, a lot of porn is mental perception and a lot of the camera work is using angles to make things appear bigger than they actually are. VR would perhaps ruin some of those tricks. It would also probably screw with a lot of the editing and multiple takes that I hear are in such videos.
 
Yeah, vr porn is too real.

This title is a hidden advertisement for vr porn, not a detractor. Why do you think people want robots they can have sex with?
 
I won't knock it til I try it but if I start seeing some nasty pubes I'll go back to porn on PC.

this happens with Blu-rays as well. Watch lord of rings on DVD then watch it on blu-ray. it is almost laughable how silly it looks.
 
I have tried the VR porn thing on my oculus and I will say it's pretty amazing. Someone above saying that it's like watching on a big screen. There are ones like that but they freak me out. I have never wanted to have sex with a woman that's 15 feet tall. However, there are others where the girl is actually proportioned to reality and it's amazing. One is with Gina Gerson and one with Megan Rain. Those are the ones I'd recommend if you have either a Oculus or even a google cardboard.

The fact that this will inevitably get even better is really a huge risk for birth rates.
 
The technology is too young to make a final judgment on VR anything. Given that most porn is live action, converting that means that the end-product is limited in how much "virtual reality" it can convey. The actors can't respond to user input, so at the end of the day it's just standard porn with a potentially cool special effect. Me, I don't care for POV porn in the first place, so the current VR porn just doesn't do much for me.

Short version: AI and realistic animation are what's needed to make VR porn truly compelling. Eliminating the "requirement" for manual stimulation is also a necessary step.
 
I tried it on my GearVR, it was pretty surreal when your sense of sight and sound are dominated with the VR headset and headphones.

The quality of the stuff at Virtualrealporn.com is amazing and there are HD samples available for DL. I had a damn blast taking it to work, and watching everyone's reactions. Fucking comical beyond belief.

/watching 68 year old men flicking their tongue in the air while reaching out for virtual boobies had me crying on the floor. The guttural noises they were making were hysterical.

I was joking with the guys at work, I told them "back in the old days you'd bring an ugly girl home from a bar after last call and bang her with a bag on her head. Now you bring the ugly girl home and put a mask on your head". LoL.

Get a better tv also turn off the 120hz thing it will look much better. My 4k oled tv makes everything look amazing

My mom bought a new TV and when I went over there to check it out she had that 120 hz nonsense turned on (because it's on by default of course). Not only did the effect for some reason make everything look like autofocused amateur video but the smoothing effect made me nauseous, especially on content where there was obviously supposed to be some handheld shake. Mom, though? When I told her she could easily reset to factory if she preferred, she said "No, either way's fine." She reads and plays games on her tablet and notebook so much that I don't know if she ever looks at the TV screen when it's not a movie rental. :)
 
I was very surprised at just how real it was when a chick was jumping up and down on my crotch.
Literally a fuck me moment lol.

This was on a Vive which I grew to dislike for other reasons. I even struggled to get a refund due to "zero" communication. My bank entertained it in the end.
A mostly bad experience, but the pron !
Although it might be limited (for now) to only close quarter experiences due to the extremely low res at any distance.

That's a lot of misplaced hostility. I think she was offering herself more as an expert on what people like about porn than an expert on VR porn. Given her huge popularity while she was in the business (and even since), that doesn't seem unreasonable at all. I'd certainly be more interested in her opinions on the subject than some random wanker on the internet.

It is not only for fantasy for many people! I think she doesn't understand it well which is why she has left the industry!
