Ordered one and most likely this will be cancelled due to ebay account being compromised.

See what happens in the next few days....

It appears that this is happening quite often if you check the forum thread. Wondering if the seller or the ebay is careless or some smart alex doing a good hacking job.

Forgot to share the link.

The seller or ebay just removed the listing. That was fast.

This has become such a rampant problem, Ebay needs to implement a system so that users can flag listings as likely fraudulent. It would be easy to have an automated take down system in place, triggered by a reasonable number of users reporting the same listing. It would save a ton of headaches.

I just received a tracking information from ebay that the item has being prepared for shipment. Shipment origin is from China. Well, I guess I'll have to lodge a payment refund through ebay for either not receiving the item or the item received is not as described. :(

Good luck. I bought 4 used tires on ebay before. They all had damaged sidewalls and were unusable. That didn't qualify for there not as described non sense.

Don't even try, unless you're happy to giving $28 bucks away for a couple of months. I've tried it with a high end HP Envy deal that didn't panned out. Even had a tracking number that leads to nowhere.

Where is the "headache" here? Do people who thought they were buying an ASUS ROG laptop for $28 have hurt feelings now?

Some people are pathetic and Ebay clearly needs to change a few things so this stuff doesn't happen.

It only takes a few days to get your money back! There's nothing to worry about! And use PayPal!(y)

Even if this were real, you could bet your ass some dipshit would've purchased all of them to flip them on CL/ebay/etc. (n)

Op is definitely a noob, sometimes when deals like this come across you do not share it until you get the item(s). Most of the time its too good to be true.
Hate to be that guy, but honestly if I am sharing something with the internet that will fuck me out of getting one I DO NOT SHARE IT!
Its that simple.

Got my money back. Use paypal too. I think Ebay took action. Just trying my luck. Maybe one day, you might hit a jackpot. Who knows.

Will I try again? Sure as long as the amount is not huge.

It seems to me that in this forum, someone will always try his/her luck.

Why wouldn't you try your luck? Especially if you use paypal for it.

Why wouid you? There is no way at all, ever, anywhere. That you would get this product for that price. Even if it was a typo the seller can deny the sale based on a typo in the price. There is no luck involved. If it's a scam, you get nothing. If it's a mistake, you get nothing. You get nothing and all you're doing is playing in to the scam.

eBay is not like a big online store where they might ship out orders before they notice a typo or ship out orders at the incorrect price to avoid angering customers. It's an online bazaar and nothing is going to ship out at insanely low prices like that.

But it might just be that random rich guy with nothing better to do. I'd do that if I was a billionaire.

Maybe a Rockefeller ghost, or Bill Gates decided to share so his fortune :))

You don't become a billionaire by selling $900 laptops for $28 to random strangers on ebay.
No, you don't... but after you already became a billionaire, a 900 dollar laptop ain't shit.

You're saying that as if it would happen en mass everyday. Even if it were once a day, it will be a long life before you're empty.

i found this forum cause i too really thought this may have been a mistake and wanted to see if anyone questioned it..... i knew when i ordered it was probably a scam it was $28 big deal, worse case you dont get it and have to wait a couple days before you get ur money back...the one thing that got me was everything was so on point(easilydoneiknow) but the watermark that lead to the site where the actual price was listed was kinda weird. Long story short my tracking says it's in NY from China as of today.. so somethings coming to my house idk what but il keep you guyz posted

Maybe a communication issue with a Chinese speaker and 15.6" ASUS ROG is really a 15.6" ASUS LOG.

Don't try to reason with them, it's useless. It's the same kind of mentality that people who buy lotto tickets all the time have, telling themselves "well, SOMEONE has to win, could be me this time!!" I worked in a gas station once while in college, I saw it all the time. It really is some combination of sad/delusion/stupidity. But, nothing personal, cause I have to thank them for funding my college education, lottery scholarship FTW. :D

Are you telling me no one ever wins the lottery? ..man, that is a scam. :)

My Best Friends father played the Lottery all the time.

Anytime I went over to his house, he would give me the tickets and say pick some numbers for me. He promised to split it if my numbers hit. I told him how he had virtually zero chance to win. He didn't care, he played on.

He was a retired Military Intelligence officer, a very bright man who had led a very interesting life. I met him and his son while my father was serving in the Military in Stuttgart Germany in the 70's. As a side note, my Father worked for General George S Patton the third, but I digress...

He won 45 million dollars in the Texas State Lottery.

Where do most mere mortals have a "chance" to come up with this kind of money? Unless you're a Kardashian!

Military intelligence officer later won lottery

Unfortunately I wasn't in on picking those numbers...
