Wait, you mean it won’t be Aliens: Colonial Marines 2?

"It's no secret, obviously there's going to be another Borderlands," Gearbox CEO and president Randy Pitchford said. Battleborn art director Scott Kester said he will be the art director on Borderlands 3. "We don't even know if we're going to call it that. We could call it Borderlands 4 for all we know," Pitchford added. Gearbox chief creative champion Mikey Neumann, who also provides the voice of beloved mechanic Scooter, will be writing it.

Don't be hurtin' on ACM2, with all the deep learning coming from Nvidia and pascal, even gearbox will be able insert an AI into A:CM this time around!

Dang ... does this mean I finally need to get around to playing 1 and 2 in my Steam backlog

Didn't the company say they were kind of tired of doing borderlands games and BL3 was not going to happen? A bit wishy washy if you ask me.

That was pre-Battleborn when they were discussing their next game..

Praise the lord. All that time and energy wasted trying to hop the MOBA train with Battleborn when they shouldve been pouring it into Borderlands 3..

If it was anything they probably said they would make a new game and consider BL3.

Thank god folks can change their minds.

I played through every character in BL1 with all DLC, got burnt out on BL2 before finishing with my first toon. They need a pretty large revamp in order to get me back on there.

BL1 was pretty meh solo, but great with friends. Two was more of the same.
I never even bothered with the prequel, and think I would prolly pass on a third installment as well.

Eh...I was through with the Borderlands games after 2. I had the Season Pass and barely played any of it. I bought the Pre-Sequel cheap and barely played it.

The formula is just played out, IMO. Unless they change it up in a significant way I can't see myself bothering with this.

3? I'm having trouble slogging through the start of More of the Same BL2. I regret putting the 'Pre-Sequel' in my backlog at this point. They've really beat this horse to death, resurrected him and beat him some more.

Well, we all know Daisy is off the list as the mother of Scooter's child:

"Herein is Scooter's poem for you Daisy. Here we go. Daisy, I like you a whole lot / More than that bandit liked spoonin' that ro-bot. / You are a diamond in the rough / Or a flower surrounded by shrapnel and stuff. / I will hang myself from my own tombstone / if within you, I cannot put my bone."

:p

ahhhh Ace, keeping it classy like always.

I'll just wait & see. While I enjoyed the 1st, the sequel/prequel just didn't do it for me long term. I got damn tired of the "play the exact same game with the exact same enemies in the exact same place every exact same time, but there's replay value because we added another skill!". I tried the CTT of Battleborn, but not the open beta for the exact same reasons. 25 or so characters? Yeah it'll be a wash/rinse/repeat of the same levels to infinity just to unlock skills/ stat bonuses. Shame because I love a good Co-op & have made some good friends online because of this series.

I love all these games. BL2 is my favorite though and I've got like 400+ hours on it. The Pre-Sequel I've got a lot of time in buy haven't finished it yet. Just never liked it as much as 2. The characters, atmosphere, weapons and combat were all just great and Jack wound up stealing the show. Hopefully they can bring it again.
