evga b stock 970 gtx 259 , 980 369

Bought the 34" samsung off of woot a couple weeks ago and battlefront just shat all over my trusty old 5870. Hopefully this 980 superclocked does me well.

sounds like you're geared up for a nice gaming experience when Battlefront releases :)

Have not bought new PC parts since 2010 and am still running a [email protected] with a 570 GTX. Seriously tempted to get something on this site, having the hardest time deciding. Anything from the $30 670 to the $380 980 are considerations. Problem is that all of the games I play run pretty well on my rig. I thought Star Wars: Battlefront would do me in, but it is amazingly very smooth and looks great at 1440p on medium with my current rig

Try turning everything up to ultra, take a (very stuttering) look around and see if that is a detail level you would like to game at fluidly.

Can't seem to access much of the EVGA website properly, including the B-stock section -- is it down?

Any 570 used now is a grizzled veteran and served gamers well when AMD prices were through the roof. heh

But I moved on a month ago and it's excellent! Folding is much faster.

evga -> products drop-down -> b stock far right under other products

Been doing that, but all I get is a big black screen with the drop down panel now placed on the left side after I click on the B-stock screen. Tried this with my tablet and smartphone too, same result :(

It's working here, Win 8.1 x64, Firefox browser. Just tried on my new Android 5.0 phone, worked there too. Maybe your wi-fi access point?

680s just showed up for $89. I bit, seems comparable to a 960 and a good cheap upgrade from my 570

Anyone ever check out gpushack.com? There's a code NVIDIA10 which knocks $10 off any Nvidia card, but still, they're the high end of going-rate for refurb cards. Stock changes often, but I haven't ever found a deal very compelling. They offer a trade-in program, but I reckon you're better off selling private.

You probably end up with a better price if you can snag a Jet.com 25% off first-time purchase code (though I think it maxes at $50 discount)

More cards on there now than there has been in awhile. $180 for a 780, $130 for a 770, $250 970. Plenty of 980, Titan X+Z

Time for an upgrade and a 970.

I'm guessing any of the 970s will be sufficient for 1920 x 1200 gaming.

FWIW, Jet poops on EVGA's b-stock pricing as it stands right now, and you get a new card instead of a refurb.

Depends on the item (and there was a lot yesterday); $220 on a GTX 970 ACX 2.0 is pretty hard to beat, even if it's a refurb. I will agree with you on the ridiculous pricing for the Titan Black and Titan Z, though -- those suckers, even with their non-gaming uses, are not nearly worth what EVGA is charging for them, especially as refurbs.

Also, looks like some "helpful dude" had to spill the beans about it all over slickdeals, so the vast majority of the deals are dead (you can guess where many of these cards are going to be resold, sadly).

Touche' - if you can get a 970 for $220 then jump on it, I don't care where it is. Though let's face it, the length of time the b-stocks are in stock at EVGA's site can usually be measured in milliseconds.

Tell me about it. There's been a few times where I discovered a really obscure way to get a good price on something - through my own research and completely by accident - shared it to [H], and in no time somebody had copy/pasted my instructions verbatim to Slickdeals, and the deal went dead within the hour when the gravy-stained walmart tramplers rolled in.

I ordered a FTW+ ACX 2.0+ last night. Was wondering if I got in while it was still actually in stock. Looks like I did, as it's shipping today.

I used to check the site daily but gave up when nothing was in stock, missed some of the better lower cost options but still tempting to get a 970 or 980. I have no plans to go higher than 1080P so either should be fine.

What do you consider lower cost? A 960 for $150 is not a horribly bad way to go if you are not planning on anything too graphics heavy. But yeah I'd hang in for a 970. I'm still biding my time however for black friday sales (online only, not even going to face the crowds)

Of course if that 20%/$50 thing still works at Jet.com you could get a Zoltac 970 for $240, not sure how reliable those cards are though.

Worth paying $70 more for a B-stock GTX 980 over a brand new GTX 970 from Newegg with a free game (that I'm not really interested in)?

the 980 is a nice upgrade and won't hit the vram limit as soon down the road
