ASUS STRIX-GTX970 Newegg $270 OB

Pricewise this is a good deal, however these cards sag like hell. They aren't sturdy at all. If you get on this deal, make sure you support the card via the PCI-E power connecters (zip tie to PSU connection on motherboard or something).

I ended up ditching my2 and getting MSI 980's instead. Very glad I did...

how's the coil whine on those two cards?

I've never experienced any coil whine on my launch week Asus Strix 970, for that matter I've not seen or experienced any of the 'sagging' issues mentioned earlier in the thread. It's a heck of a solid card....

My Strix 970 definitely sags. I propped it up inside the case because it literally was not making solid contact in the PCIe slot while relying solely on the screws on the expansion card slots to hold the card in place. Other than that, it has been great. I have not heard any coil whine nor are the fans loud on the rare occasions when they turn on.

It sucks that NE doesn't continue with the remainder of the manufacturer's warranty on these cards.
I'd 'jump' all over the deal if that were the case.
Even some B-stock items from EVGA have a one year warranty.
Given that you give up the two games, probably all the accessories, have no warranty beyond the 30 day (return policy)...while getting somebody's used card.
I'd say it's not that great of a deal.
The games alone represent around $45 value, the accessories another $15....so $325-60=265 for a used card with 30 days warranty.
Too risky for that much money.
