Pretty great deal on this trade-up. Alternatively, use that $100 GC for something else in the store!

Am I reading the fine print wrong? It looks like you would have to trade in an Xbox 360 and (not or) a PS3 slim to get $175 off.
Xbox 360 non-elite or PS3 fat get's you $75 off.
Xbox 360 elite or PS3 slim gets you $100 gift card.
So two consoles get you $175 total off.
 
The fine print seems incredibly stupid... at the end, also says 1 trade per person.... so, can I trade in both a ps3 and 360 to get $175? Because that seems like the more accurate interpretation of it. Maybe my hatred for BB is showing.
 
what i got from it: a regular old xbox360 or ps3 gets you the 75.

but if you have a PS3 slim or the right xbox360, you'll get the 75 and a 100 GC.
 
You trade in either a Xbox 360 or normal PS3 and get $75 off the XB1.

You trade in either a XB360 250gb or PS3 Slim and get the $75 off XB1, plus the $100 GC.

Easy people. Don't make this harder than it is. LMAO. And yes, its limit ONE per person. It is, after all a TRADE UP.

It sounds like potentially deceptive/vague wording in the main description of $175:

"Receive $175 toward an Xbox One console when you trade in a working Xbox 360 250GB or Sony PS3 Slim console at a participating Best Buy store."

In the best-case, this means you get $75 for any old working 360/PS3, but, if you trade-in a 360 250GB or PS3 Slim, you get $100 additional on top of that for a total of $175. I'm sure it won't take long to verify, this is a great deal for anyone who has a PS3 Slim or 360 250GB. I would definitely bring in a printout of the above promotion though.
 
damn... too bad this deal wasn't available for the PS4 :\

It would be a great deal if XBONE played *ANYTHING* old, but it doesn't so you give up your entire collection. Just got done playing original Star Wars Battlefront (Xbox Classic) on the Xbox 360 with my son.

Plus as it is right now I get both XBONE and X360 free games every month with 1 live membership.

Certainly true if you still want to play 360 games, but I still think you can do better on this deal by trading in your existing 360 for $175 in actual dollars, which is much higher than actual fair market value. Then just pick up any 360 for $100 or less on Ebay and still make out.

Heck you can even get one cheaper from Bestbuy's own resale arm lol:

Buddy of mine works at the Game Stop near me. He said they have been selling 1 Xbox One for every 20 PS4's sold

I make no bones that I prefer the Xbox One and Microsoft ecosystem over the others. However, that does not mean I think the PS 4 stinks nor does it limit the statement I made in anyway.
 
I got a slim ps3 for $50 off Craigslist and did this deal. They gave me $190 for it with one controller. Grabbed the master chief collection and paid the balance of $180. They discounted a 12 month live card to $40 and I grabbed titanfall for $8.

It was too good of a deal to pass up on. I use it in the bedroom to stream netflix on until black ops 3 comes out
