I'm using a Samsung T260 at the moment. It is a multi purpose computer.

I'm going for 4k , 32'-40' monitor . , 4k is very taxing on GPU . Is there any 4k monitor , that can scale 1080p without blurring the picture?

is it safe to buy a Freesync monitor? AFAIK Nvidia isn't going to support this standard.

Why would you want the monitor to do any scaling? Let the GPU scale it!

What makes you think nV isn't going to support Freesync?

free sync is included on DP standard, i wish NV luck trying to certify their upcoming DP 1.3 cards if they decide not to support it.
about your advice for 4k monitor, we require your usage scenario to provide meaningful tips. The moderator could add a Sticky thread explaining that to users: tell us how do you use the monitor before asking for advice.

I was going to write my usage scenerio , but instead i just wrote , multi purpose. This is the main computer at home, and i do all my computing on this. Office (mainly word and powerpoint), gaming , local movies and streaming . I dont do any photoshop or video editing stuff where color accuracy is essential.

I dont need a 4k monitor small than 30' , i prefer more working space. Something between 32-40 would be great.

I own a AMD R290 gpu, can this render the game at 1080p and upscale it to 4k without blurring the image? i guess a simple pixel doublication would do it .
