Nexus 7 tablet Refurb w/FS $140

Thanks, at this price I could not resist. Never used 1saleaday before... any experience anyone?
 
Kinda wish I didnt sell my nexus 7 but then again I hardly used it. Might pick one up when the price of these gets sub $100 for a used one.
 
Yea I've bought several things from 1saleaday, if your not concerned about getting things quick, they have deals once in a while. Usually takes 10+ days to get something.
 
I've read up on a lot of problems with the Asus tablet... despite being a good tablet. Would buying a refurbished product be worth the risk>?
 
This is the 8GB version. Not a bad thing though. The 8GB versions didn't seem to have the screen lift problems of the larger capacity units. 8GB might be too small for some people though. $140 seems fair for a refurb 8GB but not amazing. I'd pay more to get the 16GB., personally.
 
I'll post when I receive it if I remember, but 8gb should be enough with proper network media sharing via wifi.

I agree it should. Just bear in mind that some things like games or vids can take up a lot of space. I bought Bard's Tale in the app store, for $3, and it is a perfect adaptation of the PC game, and extremely well-done, but it requires 1.8 to 3.5GB of files, depending on whether you use high res textures or not.

Shipping takes a stone age, and things generally are sold non descript and show up in worst condition then you thought. I will never use them again after 3 bad experiences.
 
Took them over 2 days to respond to email requesting them to cancel my order.
Then I was told in my email response that it can take up to 48 hours to cancel my order and that cancelling isn't guaranteed to happen before it ships. And they mentioned I can refuse shipment to get a refund.

I swear they're drop shipping from a refurbisher. So they just get a firm order number, send shipping info to drop shipper then they send.

I ended up just getting the $160 16gb model open box from Newegg a few days ago. Supposed to arrive Monday with ShopRunner 2day shipping. I bet the 1saleaday order don't even ship Monday. :-/
 
I just received my shipment notification and tracking number. It left from a facility in Florida at 10pm last night. I guess folks weren't bullshitting -- these guys take a looong time to ship. They aren't lying with the 10 business day processing time estimate.
 
I have ordered from them several times and never gotten burned. Always slow as fuck though.

Seen a lot of these posts around here, so I jumped and I'll jump on the next one -- just have to be patient. :cool:

I need to benchmark Fuck, I use that as a speed reference too, but then I always ask myself, how fast or slow is Fuck anyway? Don't mind me, just had to get that out. :D
 
Mine finally came today after they added 3 more fucking days to the shipment by specifying to UPS that they should give it to USPS for final delivery. 21 days total from order to delivery. Fucking ridiculous, and they never answered a single email. The product is "sort of" as described, because mine clearly has been heavily used and reconditioned after a trade-in, and not refurbished as a factory defect->return->refurb. The logo on the back is worn down FFS and it smells heavily of cigarette smoke. In my opinion there's a clear difference between refurbished and reconditioned, and these were not sold as reconditioned units. The advertisement clearly said "Refurbished" and the model number is evidently for a refurbished model.

Cliff notes to take home from this thread: Fuck 1saleaday. Never again.

Received mine yesterday. I got a CD, neatly plastic wrapped tablet, charging cable and mini wall wart. The tablet looked new out of the box with no scratches to be found anywhere on the device. It received an update to 4.2.2 as soon as I finished running through the initial setup procedure. Good experience here, and that is with the several week wait since I expected this.
 
Considering this tablet will go for $150 new once the newer model is out this summer. No thanks. :p
 
I'm glad I cancelled my 1saleaday order and went with an open box from newegg. Got mine in 2 days.
