Sweet Brown is suing Apple for $15 million. Everyone, say it with me now...."ain't nobody got time for that!" :D

“At no time did Sweet Brown consent or agree to have her name, likeness, voice, statements, photograph used in connection with any products, songs, video productions, merchandise, goods, advertisements or solicitations for merchandise, goods or service,” the lawsuit states.

And yet Skrillex sampled a bunch of shit from random YouTube videos and no problems there...

And he may have gotten clearance for those samples. Most musicians arent dumb enough to use samples illegally.
 
This is going nowhere. She's suing because someone made the song, and made it for sale on iTunes? Or did Apple use that video, specifically her face (likeness), in an advertisement.

If its just for sale on iTunes and that's what she's suing for, she has no case. The news channel isn't the interview owns the copyright, and probably the model release to show her on TV. The only way she has a case, is if Apple used her likeness (face) in an advertisement, without a model release.

This lady's as dumb as I've always thought she was.

She should sue/extort for 30% of the profits like Apple does to its content and app providers.
 
She would be better off asking people on YouTube to put donation links to her Paypal account... I bet tons of people would actually send her some money.
