Well, remember everybody says 670s are as good as 680s, so you're all set!!!
There's still an $80 discrepancy between what I paid for and what I got so I'm not going to let that slide. On top of that I have waterblocks for 680s sitting here. From what the woman on the phone said it sounds like they had a mixup with their inventory and weren't intentionally trying to short people, but there's no way this is acceptable.
That's three people who this has happened to. Did NewEgg contact you proactively, or did they wait for you to find out about it? When did you order? When did the item ship?
She also told me that she dealt with a call where someone ordered a 670 and received a 680, so it sounds like a 2 way mixup in their system.
Who the hell would complain about getting a 680 over 670 by mistake, wow.
I know, I'm just venting.
