GTX 680 In Stock Thread

shit thats a nice price for the ref asus, i got two of them and paid 560 about for each

unbelievable how long these have been OOS.. makes me glad I bit the bullet and just went with a 7970 over a month ago.

Add me to the list of people that got Asus 670s instead of 680s. According to the person I spoke to on the phone it may have been an internal inventory mixup. I'm waiting for them to call me back letting me know what the next step will be.

wow from newegg?

Well, remember everybody says 670s are as good as 680s, so you're all set!!! ;)

There's still an $80 discrepancy between what I paid for and what I got so I'm not going to let that slide. On top of that I have waterblocks for 680s sitting here. From what the woman on the phone said it sounds like they had a mixup with their inventory and weren't intentionally trying to short people, but there's no way this is acceptable.

I was joking, hence the ;) on the end.

That's three people who this has happened to. Did NewEgg contact you proactively, or did they wait for you to find out about it? When did you order? When did the item ship?

I had to contact them. The woman I spoke with said she had already handled a call about the same thing yesterday, so assuming they have 5-10 reps working the phone that's seems like a lot to me. She also told me that she dealt with a call where someone ordered a 670 and received a 680, so it sounds like a 2 way mixup in their system.

Ordered and shipped May 23, received May 26, just got a chance to open the box today(may 29), that's when I called them.

I also noted that they have EVGA SC's in stock and asked if they could reserve them for me, at which point I was told that was above her authority.

The other guys in this thread that this happened to should be further along the process, I'd be curious to hear if newegg made things right or not. It sounds like at the very least I can except to have return shipping paid and I'd expect nothing less. I'm just not looking forward to seeing how long I'm going to have to wait for them to have reference asus cards in stock again.

Who the hell would complain about getting a 680 over 670 by mistake, wow.

I scooped one of those up luckily the moment they got in stock via a F5 refresh, I had some nice gift cards and coupons and got it for a great price.

Anyone know what the difference is between this card and the reference GTX 680?

From the pics it looks like this card already has a high flow bracket installed, also I can tell it's pre overclocked. Is it a reference PCB? Is the fan or anything else different, any lights on it etc?

NeweggBusiness currently has a 15% off coupon which would work nicely on a currently in stock eVGA GTX 680. The coupon code is: mtmk15events and makes the EVGA Signature $449.99.

I've not ever seen that many 680s on sale at one time since release!

Unfortunately not a single "vanilla" card, every one over 499, but at least there are cards to be had!!:D

I'm very satisified with my 670s though.;)
