Chasing the 900 Million Point Month

We need 28.5M PPD average for the next 6 days to reach 900 Million. 900,000,000 - 728,501,759 = 171,498,241 / 6 = 28,583,040.166666666666666666666667

This happens to be right around our 24 hour average PPD for the last few weeks. It will be close! Hopefully USS POO FLINGER has enough fire power to push us over the hump!

The last 3 weeks we have had over 206 Million points per week. That works out to around 29.4 Million PPD average over the last 3 weeks.

6/7 * 206M = 176,571,428 - 171,498,241 = 5,073,187

That is barely over what we need! It will be close! 905M
 
turned on GPU folding again to squeak in a few more points...

Will start GPU client on my HD6970 when I get home from work. cant do much more (28°C and no air conditioning).

 
I've not folded for a wile but I'll put a little drop in the bucket.
If we make it by like 40 points then I'll feel great!:)
 
@Rebel: That may be the big problem - temps. We can give a lot of help, but lower temps we can't help with.

I am burning in two AMD quad core boxes for a customer so I added them. Only 15,000 PPD :( Too bad they are not anything better.

Keep up the good work guys! You'll see more points as the crew of the USS Poo Flinger get settled and get all the equipment off the ship and setup. :D
 
Great news! A storm is blowing through so the desert was like 60F today... I was able to pull out the 580 and turn up my case temps another 5C :)

I thought I was going to have a new rig setup for the last part of this push, but it seems the two PSUs I got will not work with the motherboard. One has a 20PIN Main ATX connector when I need it to be 24PIN and they both only have 4PIN ATX Power connectors, when I need an 8PIN ATX Power connector.

*sighs*

So I ordered a 4PIN to 8PIN adapter. Hopefully that will allow me to get this thing booted up so I can install Linux and get to folding on it.
 
Withdrawal symptoms aside, I guess a few more days away from BOINC shouldn't do any harm.

Brought my SMP rig back from the USS Poo Flinger and am delaying some long overdue cleaning and software updating, am even going to try the -bigbeta flag to see if ii can get any 69xx on my L5640 rig

My 4P has broken due to high temps. I have ordered moar power to cool it down. Respect to 402blownstoker who is sending his Musky mounts so I can get this thing lit and folding again. I owe loads of beer/tamales to 402bs/tear/firedfly/kendrak/sorry-I-forgot-others for their invaluable assistance in troubleshooting. Times like these are why I came here looking for advice, but why I stayed. You guys rock in supporting those who want to get the job done. RESPECT and thanks for letting me play in the same pool. :cool:
 
just got my 2600k switched over. running at 4.5ghz. I am running v7 client and trying to get bigadv working and not familiar with this client at all, so will have to see if it takes

Its never too warm to fold where i live:D

Besides these software upgrades were going to take most of the day, OCN are reporting good things with ubuntu 12.04 and its reduction on tpf's so on June 2nd I will shut down the rig and experiment:D

hobbled the miners and threw the last 2 cores into the mix...opened the window, only other thing I could do is switch some of the museum pieces over

When I'm back in town I'll reset my router and get the 3 other machines going too, older folders but they should help a little.
 
I'm doing what I can with my i5 2500k OC to 4.5GHZ with 12-15k ppd. Trying to borg lab computers at my uni with Q6600s. Hope it will help.

In this update we added another 379,271 points. That brings our total for today to over 1.446 million points from the USS Poo Flinger.
If we keep this rate up for today we have a good chance of giving you 2 million points today :eek:

Now we're making some real progress!

OCFthanks[H] is up to 2.3 Million points already, and [H]'s last update was well over 5 Million!

Also, the daily total for yesterday, was back up above the expected output line that EOC has for [H]ardOCP.

This train is definitely rolling -- now can we get it rolling at high speed?
