Amazon DD sale is ridiculous! 150 games on sale!

Grabbed metro 2033 for $5 since I always see it (I'm pretty sure) listed in some benchmarks and I've been curious about it for awhile. Not sure if saint's row the third is worth 25 bucks, but it is half off...

can you put any of these on steam?

Deus EX, Crusader Kings II, Saint's Row the third, Dawn of War Retribution, etc can be. Of course not all of them can. There is a basic list in the OP but it's not 100% accurate all the time as the Pirate's Cove game wasn't a Steam game.

Saint's Row the Third is holding retail value this long after release because it's that good as an open world game. You don't need the DLC to have fun with the game; I'd recommend getting DLC only if you truly love the game. After you've beaten it then decide if you want to get extra missions and locales to explore.

I would wait on Saint's Row honestly unless you need something to play right now. It was $16 on Impulse last week or so and activated on Steam. I'd expect it to get that cheap soon in a Steam sale. ;)

I agree with waiting on SR3. I paid $25 for the game + Season Pass and honestly I kind of regret it. Not to say it's a bad game, it's definitely not, but the amount of content for the money just didn't feel worthwhile to me, and I have zero interest in replaying it so there's no replay value for me personally, either. Co-op should have been awesome but every time I tried playing it with a buddy (who I ping less than 100 to) it was almost unplayably laggy. I don't know if that's the netcode or what, but it made co-op just not worth playing.

I'd wait for $10-15. I'm sure it'll be down to that level pretty soon. I think the last DLC they released is the last of the "Season Pass" content so I'm guessing prices will start to drop even more.

If I only wanted to spend about $10, which is the better buy, DoW2:Retribution or Deus Ex?

i personally thought deus ex sucked. dont get me wrong, i LOVED the first one.

They're both great, but not really comparable imo. If you're more in the mood for a RTS, then DoW. If you're more in the mood for a FPS/RPG hybrid, then Deus Ex.

I would consider DX:HR my GOTY for 2011, I just don't think it's a replacement for a good RTS. :D

I tried the demo for Space Marine after seeing it for sale in this thread. I bought it immediately after.

It is just plain, gory fun. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like hack and slash... and shoot? or isn't into DoW.

If you want something that requires thought, you want DX:HR, not SM.

hmm, i want to d/l L.A. Noire for 5 bucks, but i read all these horror stories of it not working on the PC (the cd keys don't work for steam)

It looks like on of the latest comment on amazon says to create a specific file path, since the one the game uses breaks the patching process

i guess i'll try that before i resort to using cracks like some other user mentioned on amazon

Picked up Metro 2033, obviously an impulse buy. I've heard the graphics were good and I haven't played anything graphics intensive since Crysis 2/Skyrim.

Metro 2033 is sooooo worth $5. Anyone that likes atmospheric and moody single player games should take notice.

One of the best games to come along in the last 3 years.
Compelling gameplay and superb graphics.

The game will hurt your graphics card unless you run Crossfire or SLI.:D

The Saboteur was a complete waste of money..It wont even work :(
I get this message when I try to load:

The saboteur is unable to continue due to an error initializing your graphics hardware

I downloaded patch 1.03 but that did not do anything...what a joke

*edit*
I just emailed amazon asking for a refund. Apparently, there is ZERO developer support if you have an AMD card...WTF!

Anyone know if Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West works on Lan for multiplayer? I ask since its an multiplayer only game and heard theres no one out there playing it.

At $2 bucks i could grab 2 copies and play it at home with someone else on another pc.

I had A LOT of issues getting the game to run at first. Here's what worked for me..

* Disable DEP & Temporarily disable AV client. Install the game as administrator.

* Install the game to a directory without spaces. I used C:\Games\LANoire

Games been decent thus far! Good luck!

my daughter is loving the disney princess journey game. Thanks OP!

I thought they fixed the issues with AMD cards. I know it had those major issues at release, but the game worked for me when I had AMD cards after they released a patch specially to address those problems.

I have to play at 800 X 600 as the launcher will accept the correct resolution but it still launches at 800 x 600. Is there a way to get around that? Looked at the config files and it has my settings, but it still launches at the wrong resolution.

Figured I'd save others heartache by adding the warning to the OP. :)

Maybe for lesser cards and lesser drivers, but your SOL with a 7000 series card

Thanks, although its only 5 bucks it still sucks to get ripped off and EA should have to answer for it!

EDIT:
I called amazon and got a friendly CSR who promptly refunded me the five bucks! KUDOS to AMAZON because THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN WITH STEAM OR GAMESTOP! Since Amazon's service was so good, I will buy more games from them in the future.

i thought it was bad my laptop can't handle metro 2033 in dx10 or dx11 (huge performance decrease) but the game still looks awesome in dx9 .

I emailed them and they refunded my CC for the amount this morning. Amazon customer service is pretty darn cool.

Any comments on Crysis 2 and Steam? I know EA pulled the game off Steam a while back, it sucks, etc, etc. But for that price I'd consider a Steam or non-Origin version of it.

Do not purchase "The Saboteur". Does not work with AMD cards even after the patch.

Um...wrong. I've been playing it on my Asus G73 laptop with a Radeon 5870M for quite a while. The map doesn't work properly, of course...but apart from the map, the game works fine.

EA did not pull Crysis 2, Valve did. Anyway it's not that bad of a game. It got unfairly shit on by people because it wasn't a PC exclusive like the first and it doesn't look as good. Oh and they cut out the illusion of freedom of exploration, but still kept the freedom to allow you to approach battles in many different ways that the first game ripped away from you half way through. Crysis 2 will activate on Origin if you want to put the key in there, but it will never be purchasable from Steam again without a policy change from Valve.
