Steam Autumn Sale 11/23-11/27 - Daily Deals

I'm on the fence for Witcher 2, just to many games right now (Skyrim/BF3) soaking up my free time.

I won't touch rage out of principal for more than 4.99... probably never but who know's.

I didn't buy Witcher 2 because I saw it for 16 on Amazon. Plus, I want to at least start Witcher 1 before I buy 2.

Agree on Rage. I wanted it before it came out but now I won't touch it unless it's crazy cheap AND they patch it.

Fuck my ass, if Orcs Must Die had online multiplayer it would be game of the year

Ya, I would love to split work frantically setting traps while fighting in Nightmare mode. The traps and hero abilities blow away Dungeon Defenders, but the multi of it makes it so damn fun.

Add to that, Dungeon Defenders devs are moving toward turning the game into mmo style item grinding and emphasis on a game mode that takes 6+ hours nonstop, it really makes me wish I could play OMD with friends instead.

Section 8: Prejudice is very good for under $4 and even better in a 4 pack, game reminds me a bit of Halo, multi is quite good, although the community is not massive you can easily find a game. Single player is decent too.

edit: I don't think fable 3 is worth even $10...

Are the Red Faction games worth it? Which ones are worth it?

i heard Prejudice community is dead

Wow, 4 bucks for Duel of the Planeswalkers 2012 is pretty good if you've held out this long.

Man I wish there were a package deal for Dead Space. $7.50 for both or something.

How is dead space? At $5 a pop is that a good deal or no?

Dead Space and Dead Space 2 are pretty good games. DS2 is a measurably better game though. I found DS1's controls harsh at times, DS2 was definitely improved control wise, plus I thought it was a better game overall.

If you are only going to buy one of them, get DS2.

Yeah, but the story makes ZERO sense if you don't play Dead Space 1...

Well, looks like I'm not picking anything from the front page up during sale. Kinda considering Terraria for five bucks though. Been wanting to try that for a while.

I got excited when I saw Thief: Deadly Shadows, but it is ridiculous they are charging $5 for it. Heck the game is 7 years old and I don't think it is even widescreen compatible. I hope they are just doing this lack luster Thanksgiving sale to get us primed for a good Christmas sale.

I would say it was better in most ways but one. The attacks seems better staged in DS1. Although most weren't a complete surprise, the build up of tension, confusion, etc. seemed more overwhelming. DS2 you could see the attacks coming miles away. I wasn't the least bit surprised most of the time and almost at no time did I feel overwhelmed by the situation unless by sheer numbers. DS1 didn't seem to need numbers to give that overwhelming feeling.

contemplating getting DS 1 and 2. I dont like horror games too much, so i am not sure if its for me. I don't like the games where it's a shock value. Bioshock, Mass Effect, those I can play.

I'm confused about the MTG game. There's the game itself, the "bundle" with all the card packs, and then the "special edition" which is...what? Doesn't say what makes it different.

EDIT: Looks like it's some soundtracks or art PDFs or something...meh. Picked up the complete bundle.

I managed to not buy anything this time around, opting to wait out the Christmas sales instead. I was definitely tempted by The Witcher, but my unplayed list is ginormous as it is...

The Witcher should not be on anyone's unplayed list for any reason. There's no excuse to not have played one of the best PC games of all time. It has gone on sale on GOG for 5 bucks repeatedly, and Steam as well.

Has anyone played Alice 2?
I thoroughly enjoyed the first one, whatever it was 10 years ago... for $15 it looks like a possibility.... kind of an obscure title, I don't see it becoming a daily deal even at Christmas I bet.

With the exception of Dead Space 2, today's deals suck dwarf's cock. (I still need to play The Witcher 2)

Neither are really horror games. DS2 was more of an action TPS than DS1, but I liked DS1 more because it seemed to focus on feeling alone and worried (I wouldn't really say scared). Go for both for $10, great deal.

Don't waste your money they're cinematically some the prettiest games on PC but the gameplay is Resident Evil in space. If you don't like resident evil you'll hate Dead Space.

A Friend of mine who is very critical stated that Alice 2 is exactly the same as the original they stayed very true to form, in a good way.

Has anyone owned Space Pirates and Zombies (SPAZ) for awhile? Im wondering if it gets really tedious after awhile. I played the demo and found that I was repeating missions most times, and while fun for that bit I played seemed like it would get irritating.

(only as an example, not pickin' on you in particular ;) )

Please stop abbreviating (at least in this form) using DS. Every time I read it, I instantly think Dungeon Siege. Perhaps DgSg and DdSp could be used instead?? *shrugs*

/OT

Nothing in the last couple days of use for my tastes sadly/thankfully.
Got the DLC I wanted for FONV (also picked up a copy of the game for a friend), got the Monkey Island 2 pack, Serious Sam HD pack (when it was 2.99), and that was all for me this sale!!

C'moooon Christmas sale! :D

Pretty underwhelming sale, all in all. Guess I'll be waiting like the many others for the Christmas holiday sale.

Played through the whole game, and it really doesn't get super tedious, but its not exactly fresh and new, deciding which type of ship you want to stick with tends to be the extent of it.

I would not recommend the complete bundle, it comes with all decks fully unlocked. In case your wondering half the fun is playing the campaign and unlocking your cards.

I disagree, thought it was terrible. Combat is a joke. After 4 hours I shut it down for good.

That's a minority opinion for sure. The Witcher is one of the better games made the past few years.

As for today's sale there is really nothing for me there. I was hoping for a Skyrim deal really. Hopefully it will be in the Xmas sale.
