Saw my first blatant cheater, and reported, on metro 64 this weekend. He jumped in and promptly went 200-1 in about 10 minutes...insane.

Seriously, if you play smart, you are in no more danger from that scope than any other, and in my experience, the IRNV SUCKS at range-it is very difficult to estimate windage on a blob.
Even the EoTech has some ranging with the 65 MOA outer ring so it makes a better optic in some situations.
Where the IRNV really shines is seeing that guy that is barely peeking around the corner and is not as apparent.

lol what. The IRNV reveals people hiding in cover and cuts through all the dust and lensflare in the game. It allows bad people to see people they wouldn't normally be able to see. It's no different from white wall hacks from CS.

of course he hack, 16 h and Colonel 4 , I reach it in 100 hours ( I know I'm not the best player ....) his SPM of 2600 is blatant

look at his stats he nearly have the same % of head shots with a M60 ad M249 and a M98B

LOL, I was in that server with you, him and his buddy was completely full of shit. After people started calling him out they made it more and more blant...going 82-1 by the end of the round, so depressing.

we are here again....... you just after K/D ratio , you have players like me and other who have fun in this game and achieve thing that you can only dream ( I use your own words ) , If you take me as example I'm a way more accomplish player as I have 21 medals and you only 9, I also have a higher SPM score than you ; 543 compare to your 506. That's means that I don't just kill peoples with an RPG in the metro but I also revive and do other stuff to help my team to win. I always try to play in the loosing team, I find it more rewarding, when I see that I'm in a overpower team I switch to the poor one to help them. Of course that give me a low K/D But it’s does stop me to have 71 MVP #1 ribbons, including a medal.

If only you will accept my invitation to be friend I will go in the same round as you and we will see what really happen ( I will be more than happy to take a SS of me taking your dog tag ........ , and we know I'm good with knife, 215 kills with it, and you ...24 , you really just good with your rocket in Metro )

I cant join a game it says u need to install the game first??! i click open game manager and i click update then it takes me to origin page with bf3 and $59.99 price?? wtf where is the link for the update...

And yes i bought my game from a brick n mortar does the disk need to be in the drive to update....

It does not need to be in the drive. I have a retail copy and it just updated when I logged on to Origin this morning .

Since you brought up a few points, I will address them. You somehow confuse a good K/D ratio as some sort of negative stat. You realize you can have a decent SPM, capture objectives and still have a good K/D ratio don't you? I find it hilarious that BF players think a low K/D ratio is a good thing when in fact it's just an excuse. By the way, all of the best clan BF3 players have 3.0+ K/D ratios.

You have over 40 more hours playing than I have, not to mention there are so many worthless awards. The key awards are: combat efficiency, armored warfare, flag attacker, flag defender. Over 40 hours less play time and I have two and half times more combat efficiency, 120 times more armored warfare ribbons (must be all those tanks in Metro eh), and a higher playtime per flag attacker and flag defender ribbon ratio. So much for not going for the objectives.

And why do you keep bringing metro up? 12 of your last 16 games were in Metro either spraying machine guns down corridors or sniping. :rolleyes:

And your proud of knifing in a game that takes zero skill to knife in because enemies are silent? LOL ok. See the difference between me and you is I would rather just quickly kill the person and get it done with then waste my time running after people and get stuck doing some stupid knife animation.

The vehicle sensitivity is still independent from the infantry sensitivity and with no separate slider for itself. Any way I can mess with config settings to get the sensitivity working right?

i reported him but im sure they get so many reports now they are overwhelmed and just ignore them.

thats the first time i have ran into a cheater but ive only played 13 hrs or so. didnt even see his bud i just kept getting head shot i wouldnt even hear his gun i would just die. i also emptied a magazine into him while he was shooting someone else and he didnt go down. what a dick.

Game is a game. I do not take it seriously anymore. I do respect obviously skilled players. You can tell who is good and who is cheating in about 5 minutes of game play. Join their squad and watch them.

New patch is weird. Getting strange server side bugs I have never seen before. The crosshair bug is tame compared to the no weapons shown all crosshairs at the same time and you can't climb a ladder for no reason bug I just got tonight.

Why would you think armored warfare is a key award? Combat efficiency, the flag ones, maybe ace squad, those are key, but armored warfare seems like a strange choice (unless it is just because you are a tank guy).

Edit: Unless you meant the anti-vehicle award, which i can see.
 
some moderate gripes about the patch:
if i use Chrome it either loads up SP when i click to join an MP server or it won't connect at all and spits out a 'failure to connect' message. if i use Firefox i can join a server but whenever i leave a server my internet will not work for about a minute afterwards. had neither of these issues before the patch.

edit: and the first time I try to join a server after reboot it sits on "Loading Level" for a fucking eternity. not grade A work here from DICE.

Here is the thing about banning hackers. EA/DICE would take a considerably larger PR hit by banning one innocent player, or one arguably innocent player, than leaving things as is. It is a lose/lose situation in this case for them.

Its completely diffrent from a wall hack. You cant see through walls with it. The only thing is shows is someone trying to camp in leaves or grass, and not even completely. You don't see through walls with it. You can see an exposed foot or head, but that's no different then a regular scope. It doesnt cut through dust or smoke. That's actually just completly made up and smoke is a counter for it. Lens flare is an issue on one part of caspian border. Thats a non-issue anyway. The scope is also 1x so all the lit up stuff is still small and kind of hard to hit scope also blacks out most of the screen.

And side note... can the stat noob kiddies stop with the arguing. half this thread is just name calling between like 3 people trying to prove..not sure tbh

So use ie8 , I have none of these issues you describe.
 
Went from a version which crashed 5 minutes into any match with Battlefield is not responding to one that won't launch or tries to repeatedly and just fails. Bought my copy through Origin.
 
Mine keeps white screening and locking up i see dxerror when i go into task manager and kill bf3 but can never click on dx error to find out what it is...

This sux game was working decent for me before the patch now this over and over i ran fix installer from origin still does same thing... I bought mine in u.s so not a Russian copy.

kudos for fixing the very rare and random black screen glitch to this awsome new happens everytime about 1 min into match white screen glitch :/
 
I try updating the game and it says that I need to install the game and takes me to the purchase BF3 page. Is this common? It's a continuous loop. :(
 
No UAC prompt was given. Finally after an hour Origin started downloading it though. :)
 
Are ur stats and unlocks/rank saved serverside? i have cloud on... I see a complete format of windows in my future cause this is pissing me off.

0 skill ? Well I made 68 kniffe kills in 5 consecutive rounds only in the same night , that's about 14 kniffes per round.

RPG/SMAW is considered a noob tube, when you use it against infantry. A noobtube is any weapon that shoots a rocket whether it be a rocket propelled grenade or a bazooka. Your stats reveal that you suck at all video games and computers in general so please stfu and go away before we all rake you over the factual coals once again.

Your multiplayer stats are server side and tied to your account, I mean otherwise this would be so easy to abuse. I'm not sure about single player saves, haven't played it.
 
God damn, this patch was big for me.


Fixed my fullscreen issue, I can now run this at 3240x1920, highest settings except no HBAO, AA or post AA.

I get a nice 60+ FPS with a stock 920. This isin't much more demanding then BFBC2 now.

I made some computation; Vega kill 1527 persons with a Shaw or Rpg and he have a kills ration per vehicles destroy of 13% , since he destroy 821 vehicles its means he kill 107 persons with a rocket doing so, that's if we presume he always use a rocket to destroy a vehicle so it's means that 1420 persons not in a vehicle was kill by a rocket, this number will increase if of course he destroy vehicles also with another tank or other weapons.

1420 or more persons kills by a rockets, all of them not in a vehicles, so if it’s not using rocket against infantry, what is it ? Of course using RPG in a metro kill 1 , 2, 3, or more persons at the time, that's increase the combat efficiency a lot.

also Vega kill 1859 persons with a tank or another armor or AA , for a total of 3739 if we add the rocket one that's made 60% of all his kills. , 353 persons kill with a AA, it's not supposed to be used for put down planes or Heli, who said he teamkill peoples because they misused them ?

I didn't say wall hacks I said WHITE WALL HACKS. The old hacks that would turn the entire map white expect the players. Yeah it doesn't cut through IR smoke which is a counter to every scope so who cares? It's a BS crutch for bad players.

the ir is overpowered and you would be a fool to say otherwise. Its easy mode for spotting anyone and thats why I and everyone else uses it. You can spot anyone with ease.

Like 2 people have eyefinity so no one gives a shit. Eyefinity doesn't light the people on your screen up like fucking christmas lights either.

No you're right, what it does is much worse actually, it lets you see people that wouldn't even be on your screen at all.

Not that I actually care, since I don't give a rats ass if someone kills me in a game, but I just find it funny that certain players who obviously have gone to absurd lengths to give themselves every advantage in a game, whine and moan anytime someone kills them with something they consider to be "unfair" (any class they don't use is automatically OP)

Im sure the hacks didn't block out nearly half the screen though?the zoom scopes leave the whole screen viewable. the scope isnt always reliable,not everyone lights up for one reason or another too. smoke and tac light both make it useless and the laser to an extent. 4x and the 3.4x have advantages too that the irnv dont have. zoom is a crutch for bad players too,makes people bigger. lets just give everyone pistols and reflex sights...

If someone has the ability to identify targets in their peripheral vision with their Eyefinity setup, they get a helluva lot more respect from me than all the kids running around with IRNVs on their M249s. With all of these modern shooters, for me, it's hard enough just picking out targets on the monitor in front of me, much less worrying about my peripheral vision if I had an eyefinity setup. Eyefinity isn't going to magically make someone better, not if they don't already have the skill required to take advantage of it.
