TrackMania 2 Canyon

It will very unlikely be on Steam in the near future (and they've covered this in interviews) due to their in-game patch distribution system. They're not on Steam now for the same reason that newer EA games are not on Steam.

That being said, this is awesome :D

I am going to be getting this after watching the Totalbiscuit playthrough on youtube. I had a lot of fun with the previous free version. I always said "wished this had updated graphics though and I would enjoy it a lot more". Looks like someone was listening. And the price point is perfect $25. Can't go wrong with that. Gonna get this is a 10 days.

As far as I read though, this game is pretty much an all in one type thing where everything is integrated. I don't think it will be on Steam tbh because of the way the game is structured. Either way it's OK with me, will just link it to Steam so others know I am playing it and will jump on when they want.

EDIT: what schenksmill said about it not being on Steam.

Jesus christ, is it ever hard to find the link to re-download the game. Where do I even go? Even if I log in.. where is the file for me to download?

I already got it through e-mail.. but what if I lost that e-mail. Seriously wtf? lol..

Its amazing so far. Think I am 17th in Wisconsin so far. Really REALLY REALLY NEED crossfire patch or profile. It's only using one core of my two 6990s :( Getting random stutters in some open areas at 3780x1920.

Dude, Trackmania has never been about realistic physics :D It's Matchbox cars with loop'd'loop tracks. When I want realism, I play a proper racing sim. This game is all about the fun factor and crazy ass tracks. I played the free version of Trackmania and the main reason, besides the addictive racing, was to see what kind of crazy and fun tracks people would come up with.

Hah, I'm in Wisconsin too :p Considering getting this... but Gears 3 comes out today...

Does the game work properly with eyefinity? What about landscape? I know TM1 worked with eyefinity in that the 3D parts of the game was Hor+ but the menus were stretched across all 3 monitors so it was a little of an eyesore to navigate, but playable.

Been playing it a little bit everyday since the beta came out 2? 3? weeks ago. Awesome game, can jump in for 5min or play for 2 hrs still fun. There are a lot of servers most of them are euro as this game is WAY bigger in europe. But due to the way the mutliplayer works it doesnt even matter as all you do is send up track times to the server. There are already a shitload of batcrazy usermade tracks which is what makes the game. I would recommend it to anyone who likes making cars go fly.

Been playing since beta was released. love it. And yes the online community is ridiculously large. Massive even. Trackmania Forever had massive community and still does as well, so expect this title to have community for years to come.

Does trackmania 2 fix the shitty unrealistic car physics from trackmania 1?

If you didnt like the physics in the first , dont bother with the second . Actually people loved it since its an arcade game.

I haven't had time to switch the monitors back into landscape. I only changed them to portrait because of dead island issues. If I ever get it into landscape again I will let you know.

only thing that makes me wonder is the "Canyon" after. i played the free version for like 5 years then bought it on the steam sale. one thing i noticed is they came out with several versions of game that didn't really add that much. i just hope i dont see a
TrackMania "Coast" in a year and it only brings new scenery. the online play and custom maps are far more fun then offline game.

The track editor is easier enough for anyone to make maps. i have a few tracks for the first one out in the wild. i lost them all and one day i was playing and ran across one of my own tracks. sad thing is i didn't get the fastest time despite playing over 100 times tweaking it.

Aaa, I think that's exactly what there gonna do, hence the theme going "TrackMania 2: Canyon".

So yea, we may see TrackMania 2: Mountain, Coast, Island, Moon... Who knows.

Well, I wasn't going to buy this but after seeing some footage... I'm definitely considering it.

I don't play a lot of games really but after hearing about this game for a while and watching some videos I bought it last night and played a bit. Really cool so far and can't wait to get home and try it again.

I just bit on it. It seems to have the same issues as TM United with regards to eyefinity. The menus are stretched but usable, just kind of annoying to look at since the game is very menu intensive. Crossfire doesn't currently work. It's nice that they tell you it won't work when you launch with crossfire on... then it looks to a forum post about possible fixes, but they didn't work for me. Oh well, it runs smoothly enough at 5760x1080 with 1 card.

I have kind of a silly question... but how in the world do I unbind 'honk horn' from 'left stick down' on my xbox360 controller? Whenever I make sharp turns I inevitably press it down and it honks my horn.
