40" NEC P401 WS LCD 1920X1080 for $267 (Dead Deal)

well i had a feeling it was too good to be true....just logged into their site to check my order status and it has been updated to "Pending Cancellation (Order is in the process of being cancelled.)"

that blows....:(

=[[

I think the biggest reason that its so cheap is the fact that its more of a TV than a monitor. Its not a resolution that a screen that size should have. The standard 27"-30" res is 2560x1600, and to spread a lesser res over ~12" more of real estate... It will still have a good picture but its nothing even close to the clarity of those $1000+ monitors. It kinda made me sad when all the monitors went the 1920x1080 route instead of the 1920x1200 :/

update: yeah it's offical...here's the email i just recieved....

Well, that blows.

I figured since they went so cheap on Ebay, this was not too far fetched....

Edit: I guess I did not notice that the seller on Ebay was Ecom, so it would be believable that they ran out.

YES!!! I have two 24in monitors at 1920x1200 and can't find a deal on a 3rd with the same res.. cause everything is 1080 now.

Still no cancellation for me, heres hoping..

Checked out with Paypal, and they did charge me already.

Got my cancellation e-mail as well. I wonder if the people who ordered from ebay got them.

its possible, the 30 on ebay could have been legit and not updated on their site.

i doubt the people that got them on ebay will receive them i mean its only $45000 hit to the bottom line of the company in question. seriously would you ship and loose that sum of money i think not

I love how everyone always acts surprised and/or pissed when these deals don't go through.

Come on, now...really?

Most interesting...anyone else pay with PP and get a cancellation notice?

I know its going to happen, but its fun to think it wont derp.

I got cancelled too.

Newegg has a good deal on a 24" HP 2405 model for $199 shipped.

I bit on one of those when they had it at $140 shipped a few months ago. It was a refurb, and they basically put it in a box with some wadded up brown paper to secure it. It nearly busted out of the box and was very broken when I received it.

Pics available upon request :)

How was the unit affected?!

ecomelectronics blows. If you check reviews they have a history of trying to pull shady shit on customers.

All I have to say to this deal is if anything fishy happens with my card, I know for certain it was someone at this shady eCom (Brooklyn based, no offense but its kind of a capital for crime) store.

I don't use this card for anything besides online bills with major companies, so if anything fishy happens I will surely let you guys know about it.

Never buying from this store again... that's for damn sure

So just out of curiosity, did anyone get this non-canceled and intact?
