Going to be building a rig for my kid for Christmas, and wanted to get a small form factor system. I don't really keep up with whats popular in that area, but I've got a spare GTX 260 that I plan on putting in it. Any recommendations? Keep in mind I won't be modding the case, so it would have to fit fine stock. Black is preferable ;)

IMO the mini p180 is the best micro atx case. Ever.

it's not 'SFF,' it's just mATX.

Just look at the SFF thread, as of late, all we got are massive mATX cases the size of real ATX cases .

SFF is supposed to mean:

mITX.

Antec NSK 3480

The 3480 is sold with and without a power supply (may have to search different vendors).

Lian Li V351

Very flexible case and is available in silver, red and black.

Thanks guys. Its sounding like it doesn't fit without some work :( I kind of had that feeling, 260 is a big card. I just may end up going the mATX route. Thanks again!

I've had several, the CM Elite 340/341 is what I would recommend. 120mm intake, room for large HSF and gpus (fit a TRUE in mine just fine along with a 9800GTX).

Lian Li PC-V350/V351 are decent cases, a little pricey; there's a heat pocket near the cpu because there's no exhaust other than the psu pulling air from the cpu area. Even with the best cooler I could fit in there (Noctua NH-C12P in pull config), I wasn't happy with temps.

Antec NSK-3480 is nice as well but falls to the CM's. The top compartment divider makes cable work a PITA.

I haven't bothered with the SUGO's. Not really crazy about them because they have limited cpu HSF clearance due to the psu being mounted directly above the cpu socket. You're basically forced to use either stock HSF or buy Silverstone's overpriced NT-01 Lite.

I believe the CM 340 is no longer manufactured; replaced by the 341. From my experience with roughly 4 SFF mATX builds, that is the one I'd go with. It's a pretty small case; about the smallest you're going to get without being a cube, and being able to fit large hardware. (340 and 341 are the same internally; only the exterior was changed slightly.) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119193

mini P180 may be classified as an mATX case however it's not a SFF case. It's a mini tower. 17x17 is not SFF. 15 3/4 x 13 3/8 (Elite 341) is SFF. The only reason it's a "mini" is because it's "mini" compared to the regular P180 which is a large mid-tower, close enough to a full tower.

I had a ATI 4890 in a microfly with no problems. It's tight, but it fits fine. My gtx275 would fit, but it's in another case and I believe it's the same size if not a little longer than the 260. Good luck!
