Title says it all, thought it was good considering RAM is about to jump up yet again before Xmas. By as much as another 30%. Bit Tech Podcasts tell you to buy now while it's a bit cheaper. Demand is not slowing down. Here is the link...

XMS3s are confimred by Corsair to be basically Dominators without the Dominator Heatsinks, but if you must have the Dominator Heatsinks with the same specs, it is here on Amazon for $209 Deilvered...

I read that the heatsinks don't really do much for you as the i7 uses low voltages anyway. That and those Dominator heatsinks can get in the way of larger CPU Coolers. Esp on my Asus Rampage II Gene, I've seen the pictures here...

It's amazing what the economy is doing to retail prices these days. I remember seeing 7-7-7 1600 6GB kits for as low as $50 earlier this year.

Now everything is like 50% more.

everything? or just memory.

DDR2 is being phased out. It's Supply and Demand.

Are you serious? When was it ever this low?

I paid 70 for my OCZ DDR3 Gold 7-7-7 6GB kit. This deal isn't too good IMO.

recently with the RAM prices up? and if so, does it match the 1600 speed? Well it was a good deal for the timings and brand anyway. At least compared to Newegg and Amazon.

yes it's 1600, and no this is maybe back in march.

your deal is very hot for that style of RAM, but it's still too expensive based on previous prices.

Man DDR3 prices have been going up. 2000MHz Ripjaws and Tridents were ~$150 like a month ago, now they're $200.

It's crazy how these prices have gone, one month ago today I ordered these at Newegg for $154.99. Now they're $199.99 there. That makes this a good deal if you want to buy RAM now. If you're thinking of building a computer 6 months ago, then you should buy back then.

I guess it paid off to be an early adopter of i7 :D

i got my 6 gigs of 1600mhz patriot for $65 after rebate.

The Bit Tech Podcast said it will get worse soon. By as much as thirty percent. I was looking at some Crucial ram that jumped thirty bucks overnight. So while I paid a ton compaired to you guys, I will save vs a few months from now - as much as sixty dollars by my estimatation. That's why I posted, as in this price will be good vs the months to come, for the timings and brand.

made me lol

I bought the cas 8 version of these sticks for about $110 after MIR back in July or August.

It is odd to see prices going up that much

Some are making the excuse that gold's going up in price so manufacturing costs are now going up, which I think is a load of crap, personally, and just an excuse to price fix.

Whatever the excuse is, it's going up pretty quick. Up to 197$ now on ZZF.

that is why you should know when to buy and sell

How many of you were buying $10~20 4GB DDR2 ram kits around Dec/Jan? You can get $50 for them now
