Oh, everything is red/black so my theme is turning out very nicely! I can't wait to see it all put together. I'm going to order the TRUE Black Ultra-120 eXtreme HSF for it tomorrow.

Great system! Is the 920 a D0? Oh, and BTW, that PSU is overkill for your system ;)

Haha thanks everyone. I will be posting pics of the final build coming up some later this week or this weekend. I'm really excited to see how everything comes together and if I can manage my cables properly! Wish me luck.

Instantly jealous. I'm can't wait to start my new build. I order Win 7 today to start.

Heh... its ironic for most people... when you can't really afford that stuff, you have all the time in the world to play games; yet when you actually can afford all that stuff, you have even less time to play. :(

Lookin damn good so far! Cable it up clean and its gonna be an awesome build.

Am I the only person who looks at this picture and crys a little inside. That nice GPU sitting directly on carpet. :(

No, you're just the only person to post about it, hehe. I love seeing FS threads with pics of parts all over the carpet. Needless to say, I don't buy from that person, lol.

this is entirely true

You should have seen me dragging my socks on the carpet as hard as possible right before I touched the card and put it on the carpet! C'mon if u ground yourself before hand setting something on the carpet to take a pic is not going to hurt it.

Why risk it at all. I always put my parts on the anti-static bags they came in.

Don't be so sure! I lay my equipment on a lot of crap but not carpet.

Thats all nice and all, but wanna trade the monitor for my 17 inch crt? :D

Noice on the parts.

Lian Li makes a second product to double the intakes on your red case, a Red HD Cage/120mm LED Fan Intake, it's just like the one you got.

Why'd you get a micro board for a medium tower?

It's not always about the size. I bought the Asus Rampage II Gene for the features and price. More room for wiring and less PCI slots I will never use. Better audio to boot. I plan on putting it in a Silverstone FT02 when that case hits the market.

I love the AMD case for the Intel system! Even so, that case still kicks ass.

Love that case, how much was the case?

Another vote for keeping electronics in anti-static bags until you are touching ground or strapped to ground. Wood and Concrete floors FTW!

Sounds like a great build so far.

this is getting OT, but I have never had a hardware failure I could attribute to ESD

anyone have first hand experience with ESD and a hardware failure?

I am not saying it doesnt happen or that it doesnt cause harware failure I just have not ever, and i buy a lot of stuff :D, experienced it.

I tried to kill my Socket A Duron 900mhz with ESD and it is still a working CPU 8 years after I actually shocked it 10-15 times with in 10 mins...

Very true...I remember being in my room literally for weeks playing video games non stop. I miss those days.

The first PC game I can remember blowing up all sorts of time on was Crusader: No Remorse. Anyone else remember that one? Installed it and I remember it was like 5 the next morning before I finally shut down and went to bed.

Where do i purchase this?

Oh and btw the evga board came doa and I got a refund...im now trying to figure out what board to replace it. I have $200 credit on newegg now and am trying to pick a new board out if anyone has a suggestion. I'm not goin micro atx this time.

I'm in the same boat, thats why I dont really worry about putting my card on the ground for a picture lol. Never once have I had static kill something and i've done a lot of builds.

I purchased the case through SundialMirco.com and they put me a nice regular black door in the box instead of the stupid dragon one. I got it for $234.90 shipped to my door.

Case is BEAUTIFUL. Will post pics when I get a new mobo and reinstall everything. It looked sexy last night until I had to take it back apart :(

Yeah - it seem to be a pretty present issue on here.

Well after I upgrade to the new ASUS rII extreme and get my cooler im at $1820.56 for everything.

I fried a hard drive one winter when I got a discharge from my finger to the hard drive cage. Killed that drive deader than a door nail.
