Xbox 360 Crashes Accessing PlayStation Store?

Someone at Electronic Arts is going to have a lot of explaining to do if this is true. We have the PC version here so I can’t independently verify this. Any of you that own the Xbox 360 version experience anything like this?

When navigating menus today while connected to Xbox Live the game suddenly crashed again. When my rage had subsided and I got a better look at the screen, I was pretty shocked at what I saw. Was my Xbox 360 version of Need for Speed Shift really trying to access the Playstation Store? Microsoft are not going to be happy about this.

After MS realises that, for once, they are not the ones who screwed up, they tell EA:
-You're so f*cked! :D

"EA’s new Need for Speed Shift is the most bug-ridden piece of code I have witnessed in recent times"

EA release a buggy game???!?!?
(Battlefield Vietnam 'Rambo M60' on release and nerf days later)
(BF2 Blackhawk whoring, nerfed)
(BF2 squad bug, STILL ALIVE!)

i am shocked, SHOCKED!

I'm pretty sure that ... bug(?) was isolated to a particular European release. Still mind blowing how QA has taken such a dive.

That doesn't even BEGIN to define the shocking value EA has brought us

I've got the xbox360 version -- anyone know how to get the game to "access" the ps store? I'll be glad to test...

It really does have SEVERAL show stopping bugs. This should have never been released.

Go through all 20 some odd pages. It's quite humorous.

The fact that companies can now download updates via the internet for games has Killed QA. I recall many games with bugs back in the day, but nothing like it is now. This is just insane.

Copy and Pasting code /= WIN lol

I'd really like to bag on EA since:

1.) Every game they've made for at least the past decade has either been bug-ridden, laden with DRM, a combination of the prior too, or a sequel for a line of titles that deserved to die a long time ago. (Seriously, this must be like the 30th NFS game... those games stopped having any redeeming values around 1999....)
2.) They've killed many of my favorite sports franchises (Papyrus Nascar Racing & Sega's NFL 2K series by negotiating "exclusive" licenses.
3.) Any good game company they've acquired has been assimilated into their Borg collective and any semblance of quality from the outfit disappears. (Maxis & Westwood come to mind)

However, could it be MS being greedy on the cost of hosting material on Xbox-live and EA wanting to save some coin by bypassing MS and hosting material on the Playstation store???

Those aren't bugs, they're features.

I own the US standard version for the 360 and I've never had it crash once. I've probably got around 15 to 20 hours into it.

And? I didnt see you reporting it, mr current events.

It got posted on Kotaku weeks ago, most speculate it was either a pirated version or an entirely bizarre incident no one else had seen or was able to recreate.

Either way not as news worthy as most of the posts about OMG EA AND M$ ARE MORONS would make you think.

And Add to that list
C&C Generals and the Zero Hour Expansion

Sounds to me like EA developers got lazy when they ported the PS3 version to the Xbox

Thank you for a response. Its finally nice to see the developers saying something. I still have not been able to play since I purchased the game because of crashing as I turn the corner on the test lap. I also crash when I try to change my graphics

Lmao...

That is quite funny, and embarrassing. MS isn't probably happy about it.

EA release a buggy game without testing and your shocked.
This is the reason I do not waste money on any EA game.

I have the Steam release of NFS Shift and I have yet to experience a issue with NFS Shift for those that mentioned it should not have been released. I don't however have a 360 anymore (at least not one that turns on) so I can't comment on the original topic of the game attempting to access the Sony Store.

"Especially in higher tiers a lot of the cars are behaving like fork lifts. This is completely unrealistic..."

haha u got NOS in that jdm forklift?

EA has a long history of poor performance.
