Aion Release

i equipped my sorc with an even mix of +30hp and +30mp, with a handful of +14mb stones thrown in. it wasn't really according to a plan, i would just slot in the stones i had in my bag. i've noticed now that i have a lot of mana, and between the mana treatment spell and the one that gives mana back instantly, it takes a long time for me to run out of mana. is there any way i can slot the items to remove the +30 mana and put in a few +14magic boost stones i've got in my inventory without detroying the +30hp stones already socketed in?

edit - my character, any comments/suggestions about the gear will be appreciated :)

As a sorc, at least at your level, I'd suggest magic boost all the way. It makes grinding/PvE/quests much faster. As a sorc, you shouldn't be getting hit in the first place if you're doing it correctly. Now, at later levels for PvP it's a different story, HP is quite important then to avoid dying on an initial burst from an enemy. But to level up faster I'd go with MB.

What are you doing when your burst skills are not refreshed yet to move on to the next mob? ( Frozen Shock II , Blaze III, etc) I'm currently opening up with Delayed Blast > Ice Chain II > Frozen Shock II >Flame Cage I > Flame Bolt III >Blaze II> Flame Harpoon I. I have no problems fighting mobs 3 levels above me, it's the refresh time that slows me down.

By the time the mob is dead neither Delayed Blast or Ice chain is refreshed for the next mob , unless I resort to root > nuke (which has a chance of breaking at any given time)

AFAIK you can visit manastone removers. It only frees up a manastone slot on the item but it destroys the equipped stone at the same time. I don't think you can "remove" a stone to be equipped elsewhere. This would cause the brokers to be overflowing with manastones.
 
i don't mind the manastone getting destroyed. they just keep dropping all the time anyway :p. what i wanted to know was if it was possible to selectively destroy a manastone from an item that has 2 slots used up. i guess i'll check it out when i head to the citadel/sanctum next.
 
If you're Elyos Spindoctor, there's a manastone lady/man named Poblino near the armor vendor in Verteron/Citadel. It's like 200 Kinah to get it removed. But, if you're leveling it's not really even worth paying to open sockets up.
 
thanks for the tip. maybe i'll just keep the ones i have now and choose better stones on any gear upgrades i get then :)
 
Anyone know how to disable error messages when spamming macros? I play a Templar and have a simple macro that looks something like this:

/Shield Counter I
/Provoking Shield I

Only problem is when I spam it, I keep getting error messages when it's on cooldown and it floods my screen.

Also, are you not allowed to have more than two spells tied to a single macro? I've never been able to get my guy to execute all three moves when I use the following:

/Shield Counter I
/Provoking Shield I
/Avenging Blow I

What does /Automatic Selection and /Delay do anyways?

You need to add a delay between each skill, automatic selection selects the nearest mob in relation to where your character is standing, and for the love of God don't use this in PvP, on the other hand if your Elyos go right ahead ;)

Ah I see, thanks. I thought /Automatic Selection meant if you pressed the macro button once then it would automatically use all the skills bound in sequential order :D.

What's the best delay value? I tried using /Delay 3 since it was the value they used in the example but I'd never be able to pull off the second spell before the window of opportunity passed after a successful block.
 
One of my friends finally convinced me to pick this up 2 days ago. Name is Neckrobeard on server Fregion. Soloing as Templar sucks :(

You could start with a delay of 5 and work your way down, I don't think you'll need any delays lesser then 2.5 which are usually used for the burst skills

On a sidenote, you can drag & drop the actual skill to the macro field and it will fill it in automatically, opposed to manually typing the skill name
 
elyos do seem to be outnumbered on every single server. if ncsoft hadn't enforced population balancing, i wonder how bad it would have been.
 
I'm on Vaziel, Elyos, level 30 Sorcerer named Kaiyoko. So far its been pretty fun playing a glass cannon and doing rift-actions with random guild teams. All fun and games until a 40 man counter attack kills the team and then proceeds to go to Elyos lands and do the same thing.

People must want glowing red eyes, and black wings, angels of death and all. I get the draw. The only thing that keeps me sane with my choice is knowing I crafted my character to look like the single most divine creature in the entire game.

This is what inspired me to play Elyos. The bright lighting of the sun and the glow effect of all the armors because they are metallic and shiny inspired me to be the "good" guy.

There are some people in my guild with level 39's... I feel bad for those that do not have much of a social life.
 
I'm on Ariel and am Asmo. Had to roll Asmo after playing WoW and being so used to the "good guys" blowing balls at pvp. I figured if its a pvp game, better to roll with the bad side!

I'm only level 16 so far since I have a job and all but I am liking the high level of difficulty on the game. Doesn't feel as retard oriented as WoW did.
 
am i the only one playing on nezekan? :p i guess i can be added to the list on the first page - nezekan-elyos demosthenes (sorceror)
