ATI...arrogance or just ineptitude?

cross platform video card upgrades seem to bring out all sorts of issues. that being said, i've experienced your error 43 issue transitioning from ati driver to ati driver so the issue is not exclusive to nvidia-ati driver swaps or vice versa. the ticket i submitted to amd suggested uninstalling the microsoft visual c++ stuff. it didn't work for me but maybe it might work for you. if all else fails, it may be time for a complete os overhaul. i think this will be my solution as well to finally get my x38 crossfire machine up and running again. good luck.

I'd really appreciate it if the few fu*king morons who are hell-bent on attacking my intelligence, would just quit posting. You offer nothing. Shut the f*ck up and go play in traffic somewhere...not here. The 9.2 driver works in your configuration."I'm happy for you". I don't know how plain and simple I need to be to get the point across...but I will anyway. Please try to keep up.... As I've already explained...numerous fu*king times.....the 8.11 which came on the cd loads and works fine ("see...I know how to load a driver after all"). The official 9.2 also load with no errors per the installation log, HOWEVER on restart they disables one of the GPUs. I've done at least 7-8 clean removals and re-installation prior to settling with the Sapphire 8.11. Is that plain and slow enough for the as***les to understand? There is absolutely no driver loading issue. It comes down to the later driver incompatibility in his case. If it was a computer issue or a driver loading issue...the earlier one would not work either. Is that logic enough for the doubters? I've built, programmed and networked at least twenty computer last year alone for various friends...all stable and running perfectly. The routine of removing or Installing a simple driver has never been an issue for me.It's been done countless times.

Post a screenshot then as to how you have determined that one gpu is disabled upon restart.:mad::mad::mad::mad::eek::) I'll save you the call to geek squad even...press the print/screen key than open ms paint...then press ctrl+v...then save the file. I hope that was easy enough for you to understand.

Slow down, take it easy ;)

you're seemingly deep need to fuel the fire of an already irate and discontented person is not only uncalled for, but unwelcome here aswell. Please refrain from egging people on when they are in need of help, thanks.

As to the OP, I've had drivers go completely crazy, i have not read the entire post I'm not gonna, however try driver cleaner after a uninstall of the driver, if it persists beyond that do as a few have allready said and just start the OS from scratch, there is, at that point, a problem obviously beyond that of just the driver my friend.

I'd really appreciate it if the few fu*king morons who are hell-bent on attacking my intelligence would just quit posting. The 9.2 driver works with your configuration..."I'm happy for you". You, however seem to have a problem reading and comprehending, so I'll go slow...do try to keep up. As I've already explained...numerous fu*king times.....the 8.11 which came on the cd loads and works fine...both GPUs enabled ("see...I know how to load a driver after all"). The official 9.2 also load with no errors per the Catalyst installation log, however on restart they disables one of the GPUs with the video adapter incompatibility message. I did at least 7-8 clean removals and re-installation prior to settling on the Sapphire 8.11. There is absolutely no issue with correctly loading drivers. It comes down to the later driver incompatibility with his configuration. If it were a computer issue or a user's driver loading error, the earlier one (which I can remove and reinstall all day without issue, and for which I'm using the exact same routine to install as the 9.2s)...would not work either. Is that logic enough for the doubters? I don't need Geek squad...I do this on a regular basis. I've built, programmed and networked at least twenty high-end computer last year alone for various friends...all stable and running perfectly without issues. The routine of removing or Installing a simple driver has never been an issue for me. It's been done countless times.
I really love this post, instead of asking for help, you insisted that what you did was already the right thing and you are saying things like you have done this on regular basis. The funniest part is, you were talking about ATI's arrogance :D

Calm down. You want step by step? Here is fools proofs methods.

Install Driver sweeper. Reboot, go in safe mode, run driver sweeper. Restart, delete old ati folders in c: program files directory. Install 9.2. Restart. If this don't work, reinstall windows because your windows is as f'ed up up as your troll thread.

Please show screen shot as to what proof you have of 2nd gpu not workings dudes.
