The only two people i know who play EQ are guys who play as girls ingame, so i'm going to have to give +1 to the "this survey was only really filled out by guys" pov.
 
I have chosen to believe this on the grounds that thinking of the other person sitting at their keyboard as a bisexual female makes ALL gaming more enriching.

I'm atheist, but screw that... God bless bisexual women everywhere!

I'm willing to bet that it's not MMO specific and that it could be generalised to 'gaming' as well.

Gaming is a male-centric pursuit and I'm sure if there were large enough studies done that you'd see a disproportionately large percentage of female gamers were gay/bi.

Conversely, I'm sure that the gay male gaming population is proportionately lower than the general gay male population.

You're just not going to see polls of this kind being worth the paper they are written on though as the participants would have to agree to be part of the study and be honest with their answers. Being honest about your own sexuality is a particularly difficult thing, even in this day and age, due to the incredible stigma attached; this is particularly bad in gaming circles where 'gay' is still used liberally as a general slur about anything.

I'm sure it's just a reflection of the content at this point. When gaming has a wide enough appeal to even out the male/female ratio then I'm sure the lesbian/gay ratio would also fall in line.

I think I can think of ~5 bisexual friends that I played MMO's with, out of the ~10-15 people I knew well enough to know their sexual orientation.
