Yes, I am talking to you! You need to grow up and quit playing video games you slackers! Apparently all men are video game playing slackers or “child-men” and all we care about is drinking, video games and sex.

Single women in their 20s and early 30s are joining an international New Girl Order, hyper-achieving in both school and an increasingly female-friendly workplace, while packing leisure hours with shopping, traveling and dining with friends. What I gathered from the article was that the author expects all guys to turn into some sort of soulless walking-wallet for some "hyper-acheiving" member of the "new girl order" to come along and take advantage of.

So that article is saying that single women in thier 20's and 30's have created their own version of the HE-MAN WOMEN HATERS CLUB?

Or is it most single men in the late 20's into their early to mid 30's and sometimes later years are hooking with hotter women in their early 20's who treat us better, and are better to talk to.

this article leaves me asking, why is it that women going shopping and eating out with thier girlfriends is considered more mature than guys drinking beer playing Xbox. that article reads like it was written by an uppermiddle class psych major who got dumped by a guy who didn't want to spend his evenings eating low-carb vegan snacks discussing the liberating virtues of sex and the city.

On a more serious note here, as far as this whole thing is concerned all they have to do is look at how politically correct everything has become and how all the things guys are good at are constantly being dumbed down so everyone can play(think little league and no child left behind crap in school. some kids have it, some don't, but now they ALL have to make the team.) All we have to hear about is tolerance, equality, and all that shit so there is no reason to compete on the level we once did because let's face it, we are biologically supposed to dominate our domain and be unquestioned except by force. This stuff is mostly illegal any more and guys are now supposed to care about thing we really don't care about, like nice clothes and feelings and other people. Instead, we do what we want after we put in our hours and forget the BS outside. Case closed. I'm gonna go work on my car and continue to be 19 credits away from an engineering degree, all the while not caring what other people think about me because i'm not that shallow. Let her travel to Milan and have dinner with her friends. I'm gonna waste fossil fuels and excel in things that don't involve classwork and grades.

Why is she pissed men and women are now reversing roles? Isn't this what they wanted?

I also believe this movement of 30 year old "new order" women will be very short lived. Today's 16 year old girls are just as high, drunk and laid as men ever were. I don't think they were become as "elite" as the current group of 30 something women......

One great thing about my girlfriend who is 32. She is also a gamer.. Plays EvE and WoW.

And she loves beer, and sex. I scored big time :D
 
Thankfully, not all women are like that. She is just a sad individiual who is pissed that her youth has left her and she cant party or drink or have fun anymore.

Your whole rant is filled with asinine far fetched bullshit that hardly has anything to do with the article. "Guys are supposed to care about things we really don't care about, like clothing and feelings and other people"... lol at that silly quote. So people are naturally not suppose to care about other people or life around them right? I suppose what you don't care about or care about somehow encompasses what every man cares or doesn't care about right? Everyone is different and has different likes an dislikes. The priority is getting a good degree and good money and there a lot of time to have fun with other people/play video games , etc while doing that.

This proves no matter how educated you are, you can still lack objectivity. I am sure if a study was done one would find that the latter part of generation Y both genders are fairly equal in their ambition (or lack thereof), partying and promiscuous behavior. Has she been to a bar lately? I work at one and continually see more females then males and they are just as addicted to Guitar Hero as we are to Halo.

What she is seeing is a change between the early and current Gen Y, and a generational gap from Gen X. The problem is she seems to be ignoring the fact today's 2008s 18 year old females are TOTALLY different than 1995s 18 year old females. They have changed just as much as guys have. Of course this is all nothing new and will change again.

Her major mistake was writing it in a universal perspective. There's no reason to generalize to this extent. It's obviously subjective. Feh. Like one ignorant woman is going to write the next social bible.
 
Honestly this "article" is full of subjective opinions. For instance somehow it is better to be a 26 year old, deadbeat, high chool grad, factory drone or insurance salesman living week to week depending on the amount of policies you sell, with their parents, than to be a self sufficient, college educated office worker with a steady paycheck.

I am 25, I am married and I work at a financial company. According to the author I should quit my salaried position, move in with my in-laws and sell a product no one wants door to door.

When the new girl order needs tech support they can call me. In the mean time GTFO.
