Crysis: very VERY Steep System Requirements

Man...I don't know about this game, I mean I have thWHERE IS SARAH CONNOR?

Hehhe, that's pretty cool. +1 for the Canadians :D

I think CryTek (errr, whoever the Publisher is) should have put lottery tickets in every box for launch; some lucky gamers can use it to go buy a rig that can play it. :D

I'm expecting 1280x800, medium on my end, C2D + 4gb + 7900GT.

You never noticed the big "EA" logo animation at startup in the Crysis demo? :D

I'd imagine running the demo will give you a good idea of how the retail version will run.

Crysis has the most intro movies I've ever seen, ugh. I'm so sick of EA games and their intro movies/ads/ads/ads/ads/ads/ads.

I wouldn't say those requirements were that steep. Ok, Joe Bloggs with his FX5200 or whatever isn't going to be able to play, but he can't expect it to last him forever. Better (graphically...) games will require better hardware.

You seem to be missing something.

I understand how amazing Crysis CAN look but with my 300$ card I'm stuck at all medium settings except textures at high. Cod4 on my rig beats Crysis in IQ on my rig (If you don't believe me I'll post the pictures). I can Max Cod4 with 2xaa and get a steady 40 fps @ 1680x1050. Kind of sad if you ask me. I'm aware open spaces=more power needed but when I can't even see a enemy vehicle 100 yards away because it's waiting to "pop-up" it makes me wonder. I still think Crysis is great however. It will defiantly be on my Christmas list.

Edit: 4aa in CoD4.
