Shadowlord, please tell me where you took those!! Looks like I'll be having to take a vacation pretty soon :D

in Austria, Saalbach to be exact.

since this thread is nothing without pix, here is one i took last weekend in Schladming

since this is a pretty mild winter, snow is already a bit lacking.....:(

Picture from the snow storm last Wednesday night in Upstate NY. This was actually taken while moving, but I think it came out pretty good. If I had not been in motion and had a better camera, the snow flakes would probably look much better.

Nice pets there [T]ACO. I occassionally run across Wolf spiders up here they are fun to play with. Get big too.

Thanks man. I have lots of other shots, but I did not want to take over the thread. I dig tarantulas. Used to be scared shitless of them!

I just started getting into this, and picked up a Canon S3. Here are my favorite shots so far:

I like taking pictures of women. Usually in various states of (un)dress. She is getting ready for a night out.

wierd, I've used imageshack for years and never once had a problem with it that I can remember. Pictures always download for me, and upload as fast as possible.

And I never get any spyware installation crap.. I bet you have a ton of spyware if this is happening to you, for sure if its doing installations. Once in a while it will load to a different page as an ad (no big deal, just hit back 2 times or close it out)

Imageshack is the best fuckin imagehost hands down! I don't see why everyone doesn't use it (I often see people using very crap ass sites like fileshack) .. it's the most easiest image uploader on the internet I'd say... don't think you can get any easier than that. There's no sign-up, no ads, work-around, or anything.. just go, and after a few measly clicks and you have a totally free hosted, hot-linkable, ad-free, link-free image.

Maybe I should not boast so much, as it'll probably slow my pictures down a little :p

Awesome pictures in this thread, keep them coming.

Another lady. Has that "Mary looking for baby Jesus with flash light" thing going on though. But I still like it. Shot with a 50mm @ 1.8 1600 ISO (so it's grainy as all hell).

I might have a couple of surprises for you guys tonight.

And another lady. She's cute... but she just went through some stuff, so she's a bit messy looking. Shot with a noisy something-something lens... I forgot.

Sit still.....

.....when being photographed.

Black spot in the hand is it's natural size.

Focus stacking of 14 pics.

EOS 350D (Rebel XT), 25mm extension tube, 70-200mm f/2.8 IS USM with a reverse mounted 50mm f/1.8

First try at focus stacking, pic suffers from alot of chromatic abbrevation, but getting that kind of DoF is awesome :)

Neat! Are you using a rail or just adjusting the focus ring?

Used the focus ring as I dont have a rail, the setup was mounted on a extremely crappy tabletop tripod, need a better more stable one.

Also the only lighting used was a 11watt energy saving light bulb which gives a crappy yellowish light :p I want a macro ring flash.

Cable release and mirror lockup, focus stacked with CombineZM.

My first (of many I hope) pictures this year. I got my new G7 a month ago but have not had much time to wander around and play with it. Yesterday I went out and saw this weedlike thing and snapped a shot. Overall the plant is justlarger than my thumb (green portion.)

Its got room for improovement but I came from a 5 year old 2.0 mp camera with no features, so I like it for my first try. I have used other cameras but not owning one really limits what you can learn.

Lots of great pictures in this thread!

I had some fun the other day with the new 58mm Circular Polarizer filter I got for my Canon S3is. It really helped in taking down haziness in the sky and bringing true colors back...
