OK, I'm new here, but Terra do you HAVE to crap on everyones statements..

you know, opionions are like assholes, yadda yadda.

GROW UP MAN! :p

I was almost ready to go play the lotto because he didn't put his comments in this thread... well so there goes that luck.

Sell it on the hard forums, you should be able to get a good buck for it, especially if it's still sealed.

why go 939? if you are on a budget, then build a low cost future proof system...

Oh for corns sake.. Future proof? Look how short lived the "future proof" socket 939 platform was. If he can get a better comptuer for cheaper on the 939 platform, I dont see a problem with it.

after some thought... and budget issues.. ive decided i gotta sell my card.. 220$ takes it.. anyone.. anyone... Need to sell to put towards my new car

Not for long.... I am already seeing the price drop to 279.00 from 300.00 after being on the shelf (and not selling IMO) for a few months. Give it a few more months and they might be sub 200.00.
I totaly did not espect a PhysX card to be a stock item in a PC shop around the corner. Just like High-end CPU it's something that must be order by the shop. Normaly I only buy what's on stock. But my PPU's I bought by a online shop. those shop list often the stock of a large suplyer.
On the price point the future will tell.

Sell it and put the money to use for other hardware. Pretty much everyone needs an extra harddrive at one point or another.

paperweight!

Kidding, sell it and buy a conroe rig. I dont really see the benifit of AM2 unless you're on a budget, conroe has it beat AFAIK.

Ok,
Yesterday I won a physX card at QuakeCon.. Im kinda curious if you guys think I should hold onto it or sell it.. I really dont see much of a point on holding on to it since nearly NOTHING supports it, and there doesnt look to be much promise for much future developement..

2nd, My main comp is my new DV8000t Lappy.. Im about to build an AMD64 3500 939 rig, and I figure Ill just drop it in there, but if its not gonna really see much use I might as well sell it while the gettins good ya know..

I havent even gotten to test it yet cause like I said, I have no rig, but they also gave me 2GB Patriot DDR2 800mhz DC kit, and a 1gb 200mbps thumb drive.. all for getting 20 points in Cell Factor in 10 minutes :-P..

Lemme know what u guys think..

Put it away and keep it as a collectors item. 20 years from now, It will be awsome to say you have practically the first PPU ever made.

Do you have a dog?
If so maybe it could chew on it and then you could pee on it and light it on fire?

Real answer: Get the Core, they are looking good on all the benchmarks

Well Outside ut2007 (which I don't really car about but many will) those games don't really amount to much, infact I haven't even heard of the last two but I guess if your thirsty to find names of games to justify your wasted money on worthless hardware then you'd know about those titles.

glad to see that you've done any reading on the subject...

Search this forum for info or links to Cell Factor. Its an FPS, and the gameplay is a bit refreshing compared to games that are out now. Joint task force is an RTS, it looks pritty good... the demo comes out tomorrow....
