Golden Axe on PS3 and X360!

It's like the video game industry is following the movie industry. Hopefully this game is well done cause I don't wanna see the same game with better graphics. Golden Axe was awesome back in the day, but by today's standards, it's just so-so. Here's hoping they do something awesome with it.
 
I had and enjoyed Golden Axe 2 for Genesis, but that type of game seems really outdated now much like Rampage for Gamecube. Might as well announce a new Streets of Rage too.

If they did announce a new Streets of Rage, i'd probably start salivating. Clearly one of my top 5 favorite Genesis titles.
 
My friends and I were talking about how sweet a new streets of rage would be for Wii. That would rock, Streets of Rage > Golden Axe
 
*groan* OH PLEASE! don't make it fully 3D. Make it somewhat similiar to the old one with LOTS of effects. I think that would be cooler and feel more "original"

Agreed. Golden axe was awsome back in the day... btw lightning dwarf > all :D

Oh man, that would absolutely be awesome. That would probably make me get a Revolution without a doubt. I was going to get one, but changed my mind with the impressive list of X360 titles coming out soon. It's that I only have so much time, and I obviously can't play everything I want to.

Uhoh i smell a debate coming on :) Golden Axe RULED. Streets of rage was solid, but too generic for my tastes. There were a bunch of these beat em' ups but golden axe and tmnt 4 stick out to me even to this day.

How about MS releases the original Golden Axe on XBL arcade at the same time the new game comes out. 4 player co-op online or slipt screen anyone? Also, HD graphics just so its clear on 50inch TVs.
 
I bought Sega Classics disc for the PS2 simply for Golden Axe. I would have been happy with a straight port, instead they "updated" the game with low poly 3D characters (still the same viewpoint as the original though) and changed some of the levels and imho totally ruined the game... I hope they don't do the same with this version.

Ugh that's complete ass. Hopefully this new one will let you beat those gnomes with the magic potions while you're at your camp :D
 
I still remember how bad ass it was the first time I saw the Amazon chick summon a dragon to spew forth death and destruction.
