I doubt it will matter, chances are you will never see the Venus stateside. Its a limited run of only 1,000 boards, and DFI USA has come out and said they don't want to import it. So unless you want to import it yourself (which will run you nearly $400 all said and done), forgot you even heard about it.

The DFI Expert is the best, and the price is resonable at $190. I'd get that.

well i think the dfi's are cool but im goin with asus

im goin to have to take this thread outback and shoot it

then it will be dead and burryed under menny other threades! lol

If your after an SLI-Premium... im selling one. PM me if interested.

I have an Asus A8N-SLI Premium and I don't really like it. The heatpipe and layouts great but the voltages are just so limited. I can only do 1.500 Volts to my X2 3800+ and 1.6 volts to the Chipset. If I do 1.6 on the chipset, then 1.500v is more like 1.49.

The max HTT I have gotten it to is 270mhz.

So if you want to verclock, go with the DFI Lanparty UT SLI-DR Expert; If you don't then the Asus is fine.

asus is junky, i got the sli premium but something is funky because my SLI suffers serious graphic errors with dual Geforce 7800GT's and it won't boot when my raptor drive is installed, i had to take it out. Im thinking about going with a DFI when i RMA my board.

IMO Asus make crap mobos. They cheap out too much and dont really give a fug if a few people complain about small problems cause they make so much money anyway.

DFI have awesome forums/support and make the highest qual gaming motherboards in the world which o/c better than any other brand. The 'DFI SLI-DR Expert' board is the best sli board out, bar none (cept the Venus, which is just an expert anyway, but lets not go there)

dfi does have awesome stuff, and great support, i have the sli-dr, but i've noticed that some of my memory slots are broken and i've noticed other folks in forum saying same thing anyone else notice if they been producing falty memory slots? not that i care i only need 2 to work anyway, and the two i need work.

Uh.... don't you think PMing a mod would be a better way to get this closed?

I don't know how someone could say Asus makes crappy boards, but I think they are overrated and overpriced. Their TS is one of the worst I've dealt with as well. Dunno about DFI's TS though. The Asus is the better choice for stock clearly because of the SLI 16X PCI-E slots, even though performance difference is negligible.

UPDATE*********************

I GOTS A

ASUS a8n32-sli deluxe for $140 shipped everything it had retail was included!!

If i could find someone to trade me a DFI expert for my a8n32 deluxe id do that in a heart beat but of course thats wishful thinking. Gratz man hope your happy with that board.

Do you think the thread needs to be "closed" b/c your problem is solved? Thing of how many threads would be gone if they did that to everyone's thread that has a answer to the question.

The board would consist of all questions with no answers and would quite frankly be boring. Yelling and reapeating somthing wont help anyways. Glad your happy and have a good day :)

ASUS makes boards that are stable but less overclockable. DFI make boards that are VERY overclockable therefore sacrificing stability. Maybe that's why the DFI boards are aimed towards overclockers and ASUS boards are for people who want a stable computer. For example, the ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe was known as the "most stable" AXP board and the DFI Lanparty Ultra B was known as the "best overclockable" AXP board.

-edit

I forgot to answer your question. Let's stick to the TITLE of the thread please.

Expert / Venus
