Monarch 24hour sale

sure hope that they have some nice deals unlike the other companys so far...

I'll keep my eye on this one.. I need to build a new rig. I'm hoping they'll have some pci-e mobos and athlon x2's on sale, or maybe some combo deals.

Instant rebate / no AR prices would be great!

AMEN!!!

I absolutely HATE this AR crap all the online stores are doing love. It is to the point I refuse to even visit some sites anymore becuase I hate the false pretenses of low priced goods.

Hmmm, pretty interesting. Does anyone know of any rumors as to what they will be offering price breaks and rebates on?

I know probably 80% of the people on here would disagree, but I don't really mind MIR. Sure, I'd PREFER they would die a horrible death, but I've never raelly had a problem with them. Only once did I almost get shafted, but thats why you make photocopies of everything before you mail it out. If you're extra paranoid, you could even mail it certified. I just mailed in a rebate for a seagate hard drive and I got the check back 3 weeks later. Not bad, imo.

Same here, I've sent numerous hard drive rebates and I got every single one of them. I even got the Tigerdirect one as well.

I must say that I have nothing but great things to say about Monarch. They have stellar prices and service. They often ofter small rebates on a few items (my OCZ mem came with a $10 rebate for ex.), but given the already competitive prices it really just makes the deals sweeter. I'm looking forward to the sale. Just check out their rating at Reseller Ratings:
http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2079.html

Also if your curious to see what rebates they've offered in the past, perouse them here:

everything from routers, to memory, HDs, PSs, etc.

I don't see the big deal about rebates either.. I love rebates. They always come for me and I get my money. The key to this is actually filling in all the fields including your email address.. lol. One time for a samsung monitor rebate, (100 dollars), I didn't fill in the email field so they wouldn't process it. Then I called them up like 3 months later and they processed it. haha. But I fill out rebates and mail them in at least a few times a month when I buy random stuff.. I usually get the rebates in a few weeks, so everything works out fine for me. But as long as you meet all the requirements and fill everything out for the rebate form, they have to give you the money back or you could take them to court.

Unfortunately their reseller ratings don't tell the whole story (though if you read recent ones there are many not happy people)

1. They charge your credit card immediately, whether or not they have the item in stock. They will do so even if it takes weeks to get you what you ordered.

2. If you order a complete system it can take nearly a month to get it, and did I mention they charge your card on day 1?

3. People on their forums report numerous problems getting simple things fixed or worse being put through RMA hell.

Monarch used to be a great place but they are slipping very quickly.

slipping? they're doing a gimmick sales thing. i think they fell already

why does it mean they are slipping? newegg.com has 24hour sales every week.

Ill have to say I used to shop exclusively at Monarch till I had an extremely unpleasant experience with their service department. Things to this day were never made right.

I had been buying many complete systems, and partial systems for upgrading a ton of my friends pcs. I dont charge anything for my friends.. and really just enjoy doing it in general, until I had to deal with Monarch's service department the first time. A buddy was graduating from college, and his kick ass mom wanted to get him a computer, basically handed me her credit card and told me to order the pc. I had chosen to go with Monarch's Barebone setup to save myself some time. From the time of ordering to actually getting the machine was about 3 weeks after all the "problems" were worked out. typically when there was a problem, such as the power supply not fitting in the clear case my buddy wanted, it would take 3 days for them to call to say oh yea.. that supply didnt fit either.. and go into the process again. When the machine finally did arrive, the case had been broken and literally SUPER GLUED back together. It was rather obvious, and looks like shit. After 2 months of playing email tag, we gave up trying to get a new case, for the machine that was already 2 weeks late in delivery. The poor kid didnt even have a pc for his own LAN party for his graduation.

Im sorry if I rambled there a bit.. and ive left out many details of this bad service I got there.

Don't you hate it when you reverse engineer something and you end up not learning anything new and intriguing? Not that I would expect anything in this case, but still!

Maybe they will have Opteron 165's for $309 like they did a week ago, or $290 like they were a month ago. Eh i can dream cant I...

Did Monarch have a 24-hour Thanksgiving sale last year?

I'm sad to hear that Monarch's customer service is slipping (or has already slipped). I can only imagine how frustrating the experience must've been for Kaizer. :(

But I'll probably check out this Monarch link in about 24 hours for the hell of it. I'd like to find a good deal on a Hauppauge TV tuner card.

I ordered the motherboard/cpu/memory combo in my sig from Monarch a few weeks ago. They set it up, tested it, flashed the bios to the latest one and had it in my hands 3 days later. Plus, they threw in some free games and some other goodies to boot. They're still A+ in my book. I order stuff from them quite a bit and never had a problem with them. That's more than I can say about Newegg lately.

LOL! People DO fill in the fields and include everything, but they still stiff them. No one's going to take a company to court over a $20 to $200 rebate.

I've had similar experiences. I ordered a DFI NF4 Ultra-D/ AMD combo recently. At first I ordered the wrong CPU (wanted a slower CPU for OC'ing) and had to call customer service. I was surprised when I got a voice on phone right away. They changed the order...I got the system three days later, shipped FedEx 2-day which was surprising because I only paid for Ground!

BTW, In the past I've gotten rebates for OCZ power supplies and Platinum Rev2 Memory from M.C.

can anyone get the page up with the deals on it? anything good? i still cant get the page up

too bad the first page is confusing as all hell.. uhhh so where are the savings? just on that one page? or throughout the site?
