VapoerChill LS is only $850.

By the time you buy all that expensive german watercooling gear you could get a vapoerchill, and run -45'C

Are they still in business? ==>>http://www.vapochill.com/ because that's all I get:

Vapo is cool ( ;) ) but i dont like the sound of a drinking fountain in my room.

So is it noiser than the Zalman reservator? If so, even it is free I don't want it.

Top Nurse, I found a cable for two Aquastreams within the shop. It is a bit hidden

Is called "aquaero-aquastream Verbindungskabel für zwei aquastream-Controller" (Art.-Nr.53044). That cable is 70cm long.

A new version of the Aquasuite including the new firmware 4.06d for Aquaero is available.

Download Aquasuite 4.2 beta

Before installing the new version it is highly recommend to deinstall the old one.

Short firmware update guide for dummies:

1.) Close all unnecessary programms (e.g. messenger, anti-virus, ...)
2.) Start the Aquasuite and chosse english as language if not already done (Sprache -> English)
3.) In the menu click on aquaero and flash firmware
4.) Choose the file aquaero_firmware_406d.afd4 and continue
5.) Confirm the upcoming info-box
6.) Press the set button at your Aquaero for around two seconds
7.) Wait till the loading bar has reached 100% and your Aquaero says restart
8.) Shutdown your computer, wait a few seconds and turn it on again
9.) Aquaero will do a factory test, if everything is OK it will say restart
10) Turn off the PC and start it again - that's all, Aquaero should show you 4.06d as firmware :)

Found another German review of the Cuplex XT. It is located here and is already in Google traslation mode. :)

They also used a Silver TwinPlex on the NB and there also some pics of a Silver Cuplex Pro :D

Don't have to unplug everything now? Real Plug n Pray? ;)

It's a simple firmware update and no update of the whole OS.

Hello [H],
I have a clean disassembled card. I got all the screws figured out and need to mount the Aquagrafx 6800 to my EVGA 6800 Ultra AGP.

I trashed the thermal pads that were being used on the card.
I got both Artic Silver and Artic Ceramique.

What is the best way to mount this block?
1. Do i put AS5 on the NVida GPU and Ceramique on the RAM?
2. Do i just cake the Ceramique on the RAM to ensure it makes contact with the block?
3. Do i put Ceramique on all the components and forget the AS5?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
- DeadByDawn

Well I used to use AS, but have since changed to Ceramique. Didn't notice any great changes in the way my computer ran and Ceramique can't cause shorts. I would apply it as usual to the ram and GPU. Then after bolting it up I would carefully take it off and look at the imprint you got from the matchup. If you see any areas that didn't fit well you may have to goop some more on. BTW, do you have the rev 2 card?

Hey TopNurse!

Got the rev 2 model.
Do i apply the ceramique as the directions state for the GPU and then glob on for the ram?
And what about the set of 5 small chips that go across the card near the LED wire? (that is where my largest gap is.

Thanks in advance

Glad you finally got your card :) Did it come with all the screws? How about a pic of your card? Since you have the revision 2 it has the floating GPU correct? That should fix any problems you have between unequal height between the GPU and the ram chips. Are the five chips you talking about ram chips or something else?

I'm watching this development with interest as I have both versions of the aquagraFX, one each going on the new sli setup......we'll see which one works better.

Woohoo! Horrible Business and have yet to recieve an email from Sharka Computer stating my order was delayed, I emailed them recently and have yet to get a response, Aquacomputer really needs to find a better dealer then these shite dealers they have in the US.

To anyone considering buying from SNT Systems,

DON'T BUY FROM DAN PERDUE (SNT SYSTEMS)

They have the worst possible customer service and after my payment cleared on paypal june 1st, I get an email from Dan stating I won't be refunded for 2 weeks, I told him if I don't recieve payment from paypal by tomarrow, I'd start a claim, maybe it will get him moving, but there is absolutely NO possible reason he couldn't refund my money immediately. this is bad business practice, very bad, and I hope he gets thrown in jail for it.

I'm not sure what's going on but I ordered a black anodized Aquatube and 100x100mm lian-li mount plate on Sat June 4th, I ordered 3 day select because im going to college on the 19th and I need to have my watercooling setup done by then... however, I was expecting it today and nothing came, their site says shipped, but when I look up the UPS tracking number, all it says is billing information recieved.... I paid for 3 day shipping and I expected 3 day shipping because I needed it today perferably, and now that I know that it probably hasn't even been shipped yet really ticks me off.... What is with aquacomputer and their North American Dealers... this is really becoming a joke... I expect the least that I get free shipping if Sharka hasn't even shipped it yet and it was in stock... Top Nurse, any idea?

Top Nurse (6-8-05) said:
I have no idea as I was there today and there was a pile of black Aquatubes sitting there on the shelf. I suspect that the problem is the G 1/8 fittings as they are running out of stock on them. I can blow smoke up ya and tell you some fairy tale, but since I know the real reason I will tell you. They originally ordered in enough fittings to sell with their stock items that required fittings. However, some people have been ordering a lot of extra stuff and it has them sitting on rads, aquatubes, and pumps with no fittings to ship with them. Or I gather the fittings that you want :( as they still ahve some 3/8 barbs and compression style fittings. Another problem has been another supplier was supposed to be getting them Legris fittings locally so they could ship their products, but they are playing games with delivery right now. Then Aqua Computer has held up delivery on some promised parts that was supposed to be in Austria yesterday. Now Aqua Computer says it will be delivered Friday.

My suggestion is that you call Wes or E-mail Sharka and complain to them. They should be bringing in enough fittings on this shipment that they won't be running out of anytime soon (like 50-100 each size). Maybe they can get you some other push-fit fittings locally that will work.

STILL no Aquatube / mount plate from Sharka... this is a joke, i swear, i'm calling tomarrow.

Top Nurse (6-11-05) said:
Well I'm sorry you are having problems, but if you had called today like I suggested yesterday you would have been able to talk to someone and get the problem fixed. Now you can't talk to anyone till Monday.

Added: I just went to the Sharka site to see about something else and found on this page the following:

THIS ITEM IS SOLD OUT. PRE ORDER NOW TO PLACE BACK ORDER. MORE STOCK EXPECTED TO ARRIVE THE WEEK OF JUNE 13TH.

I did notice that they have the silver anodized aluminum plates in stock if that would help you out till the stuff gets here next Friday.

Mysticcal (6-11-05) said:
Right, but when I ordered it I made sure both items were in stock and ready to ship...

Okay let me get this correct, okay? You first place an order with a company that is known to be having severe problems with deliveries of Aqua Computer products, correct? You then wait about 5 weeks to flame the same company to get your money back, right? You then order the same items from Sharka on a Saturday and ask for a 3 day select delivery after verifying it is good in stock, correct? You then expect the shipment to arrive on a Wednesday, correct? You say you are going to call them, but don't correct?

I have been trying to stay out of these kind of problems, but in your case I inquired especially for you last Monday. Sharka said that they hadn't received an e-mail from anyone looking for a black Aquatube and faceplate. When did you e-mail them? How did you check stock to verify they had it in stock when you ordered it on a Saturday when they are closed on weekends? Why would you expect a 3 day shipment sent ostensibly on a Monday to arrive no later than Wednesday?

I just don't understand why you are having all this communication problems with Sharka as most people don't have this much trouble. So my suggestion is that you immediately cancel this order with Sharka as you don't seem to be having good luck with any dealer lately. :( Please feel free to order from Franz at IT-Trade.net. He is expecting an e-mail from you as soon as you want to order.

Good luck :)

I don't think I've ever had a problem communicating with wes at sharka. The new shipment comes tomorrow so I'm guessing you ordered something that is coming fresh from germeny.

Sharka has been great everytime I inquired, so hopefully I should get my aquafx blocks soon with that new shipment monday, lets hope!

As a past and future customer of Sharka, I can tell you that they just don't operate as this guy is claiming.

I did not state that it was quiet to me as a relative concept to my personal definiton of quiet. I stated how noisy it was relative to other well known pumps.

Wow, didn't mean to start a quibble between two people I respect. IMO, you can't post as much as Top Nurse does and about something as subjective about choices and preferences in WC gear without tripping up sometimes and stating opinion as if it were fact (not saying that was the issue here). Also, you can't fault TN for not being helpful. At least she's in the trenches trying to help out. Some might fault her for her bias toward AC gear but that's a plus in my book ;) .

However, I've read _many_ of Cathar's post on Procooling as well as here and, when it comes to water cooling, the experience behind his posts means most people would be crazy to argue. Debate maybe, argue, no. IOW, I assume every post by Cathar is 100% accurate until I hear otherwise and then I try to figure out how the opposing view got it wrong before I doubt Cathar.

Now I'm not trying to run for President of the Cathar fan club, I'm just stating my honest opinion.

As far as Top Nurse goes, she's Tops in my books because if not for her, I might not be ordering AC gear as easily as I order books from Amazon :).

Agreed, I have ordered twice and the first time a couple fittings I wanted weren't in stock so I called up Wes and had them replaced for some mounting plates and then I recieved my order a few days later.

My second order came just a couple days after I placed it.

I've had good experiences with Sharka as well. My only complaint is that they don't seem to keep their website updated with what they have in stock. I ordered some Aqua Computer equipment the other day thinking that everything was in stock. Well two days later and my order has not shipped yet so I have to assume something on my list was on backorder. I called but Wes was busy and the guy I talked to was real nice but wasn't able to tell me if my stuff was backordered or what was going on.

So it seems that we still have a ways to go until Aqua Computer stuff is in stock and readily available in the US. On a positive note though, the wait time between shipments has been drastically reduced since Sharka became a distributor.

I know some people have been trying to use two aquastreams from the aquaero and it does work
Hi Ryan,

it looks just like the regular 10pin ribbon cables. All you need to do is find
one of those black connectors that are on the cable (don't know the english
term for it but anybody at Home Depot or some electronics store will know it
once they see it) and attach it anywhere between the two outer connectors to
the ribbon. You should be left with a ribbon with three black connectors. All
you need to watch out for is that the pin1 needs to be the same on all three
connectors.

Take care,
Chris Moeller

Just tried it and seems to work well ( going on eight hours now )

I totally agree and beat Wes up one day about this. He said they used to do the real-time inventory, but the problem comes up when people put stuff in their basket it takes the stuff out of inventory. So they decided to try it this way for a while. I suggested he just delete their basket if they don't order within the time they are logged on and return it to inventory. My suggestion is for anybody that really needs something quick is to call :D Maybe some day their will be a hundred thousand $$ instock, but it definitely ain't today.

Greetings most exalted ones...

After this last mess with trying to help Mysticcal I have come to realize that I need to make something perfectly clear. I do not own or otherwise have any interest in Sharka. I am not and never have been an employee of Sharka nor will I ever be. Wes is not my husband, father, brother, or any other family relation. The ONLY reason I have been willing to help fix problems is that I haven't been working for the last few months and got bored. Well also being a nurse I also like being able to help people. :) However, I can see that this has become counter-productive as some people have not been willing to do their part and maintain an active dialogue with Sharka. Now I can understand why people do this as I seem to be able to fix things and perhaps they just want the easy way out of a problem.

So from now on if you have a problem with Sharka or anyone else I suggest to buy from, you will have to take care of your own problems as they arise. This will be better for you, for me, and for Sharka. :) Now if you want me to work on getting them to stock some hot water cooling item I can and will help along those lines. If you approach me by PM and I have the time I might be willing to make a phone call or talk to them when I go to their store. But as I have stated above you will be best served by taking care of these problems yourself. :D

Hmm... How did you "attach" the connector and where did you get it?

Also, just out of curiosity, did you set up dual loops or a dual pump loop? I f it is the later, did you see any performance gains?

If you go to any real electronics store you should be able to readily acquire an appropriate ribbon cable and the connectors as well. Some of the connectors snap on and some night need to be crimped on (a panavise is really handy for thia kind of stuff). If you want to you can check your work with a multi-meter. :)

Yeah I am sure I could find the header, I was just curious if it needed a special crimp tool or pins or anything...

Checking work with a multimeter... How? Should I check for no or little Resistance on each wire?

Well I would check to make sure I had continuity on each pin and check for shorted pins. If you get one of the connectors it should be obvious as to how to put them on. Go find an old floppy or HD cable and take it apart and you will see how they are done. Like I said before a Panavise is great for this kind of stuff. :D

Just wondering because I've seen it come up a lot in this thread. What the hell is "titan?" I've never heard of this color. Are you guys sure you aren't talking about titanium? Please enlighten me.

Dude, I wouldn't read into it too much. It is like someone calling you blondesnow17. Or a car manufacturer using the color "eggshell cream" instead of just calling it freaking white.

Ok yes this is good, but I need to know how....

I only use my Multimeter for Voltage checks and sometimes amperage and resistance...

Is there anythign special I have to do to chekc for shorts or continuity? I am sorta rambling here cause my MM is at home, so I can't check to see if there is a blatently obvious "Continuity" setting : :D
