yeah so the power went out today while windows was booting... i thought no big deal ya know, power comes back up... windows BSOD's right before the gui comes up..

well i can post all the way up to 3.93GHz now... but prime crashes in minutes... 3.8 is rock solid though, im gonna leave it at that... i think my board is holding me back as it wont give any more than ~1.45 real volts under load to the CPU.
it's doing 3.8 at 1.42V which is actually undervolted, i might play around with it tommorow, give it some volts and see if i can break te 4GHz marker :)

this 930D @ 3.8GHz really isnt too bad at all... and i dont game, so the vid card is enough for everything i do..

i had a 7600GT, all the caps started leaking... sent it back to them, and they sent me back an 8600GT, pretty sweet :) go EVGA!
also for some reason i can now raise my overclock a little higher.... im stable at 3.8GHz now, when 3.55GHz is the best i could do with the old card :)...
the question is would the chip do 1066fsb?
my presler will do pretty close to 1000fsb, and i think im power supply limited because there's lots of them that do 1066+
cleaner power is always gonna be your friend in any audio situation... but with a nice rotel amp like that i wouldnt worry about it, it's gonna deliver plenty of clean power...
were all four cores doing independent tasks is the real question, or was it just windows SMP working to spread the workload. (but not independent proprietary tasks on the cores (if you get what im saying)

i dont know what to trust on this new version of speedfan either it detects more temps than even everest, or the ASUS probe util that came with the board...
like lower ambient, and upper ambient, but it seems upper ambient replaced what used to show up as AUX, which is where my power...
they both come from NVIDIA 7600GT according to CPU-Z, one is the core, because i can verify it with the nvidia control panel reading, but i have no idea what the other one is...all i can assume is memory maybe? who knows?
core is at 51C, and the other temp is at 46C, only the latest version...
