You sure about that? That the smart video enhance set to ON is causing the scan line issue?
I read through the link previously and no where does it state that the smart video enhance is causing the scan line issue.
What Rev A02 does is to set Smart Video Enhance mode to Off as a default instead the current On mode (which you can still manually turn off by the way).
And where did you read that Smart Video Enhance is causing the scan line issues?
Not all A01s have the scan line issue.
Can't tell how bad it really is from the photo due to the ISO settings being bumped up..
If you decide to get it changed, you'll probably need to provide Dell with a better photo to show why an exchange is warranted.
Thanks :) Love the amount of screen space I have now.
haha, that's the goal.. which is why there's another monitor stand prepared on the right ;)
Will get number 3 some time in the future. Probably wait for the next Rev first so that I can compare.
Thanks :)
Am using the DisplayPort...
Thought I'll provide another update..
So, I got myself another U3014 after selling off my U3011 :D
As the Dell provided miniDP to DP cable is quite short (1.8m), I bought a 2m DP to DP cable and used the DP to miniDP adapter that came with my MSI 7950.
Turns out the U3014 is rather sensitive...
That's one of the things I noticed when I got my monitor because the lower left portion is where the icons are usually. Thought there were some faint horizontal lines, so I took a closer look and also noticed the vertical ones as well, which kinda makes sense since it's a matrix/grid of pixels...
Whether the computer goes to sleep or whether the computer turns off the display (monitor goes to sleep). They both have the same effect of making the monitor go into standby(sleep) mode.
The time taken for the monitor to display something from standby mode is a couple of seconds at most.
First, you asked about how long it took to turn for the monitor to turn on after psychically pressing the power button (which obviously takes some time before anything is displayed).
Then you compare that timing with waking a monitor from sleep mode (which I am assuming you are talking about...
It's definitely not at the same level of "clearness" as you would get on a glossy screen.
I never really found the AG on the 3011 to be a huge issue for me, the AG on the 3014 is a noticeable improvement if you read a lot of text.
Considering how much you disliked the AG on the 3011, you are...
Just doubled checked, what you observed is correct.
What I noticed is that the last 3 sets of digits in the serial number on the report matches only the last 3 sets of digits in the serial number on the monitor and box.
Only realised this after I looked carefully at the serial numbers, only...
