This isn't the gotcha that you think it is. That is a 300W card. The only way that card will be melting that connector is if that connector wasn't fully seated.

But that would mean that the 8-pin connector is also prone to damage if the user isn't adequately seating it.

Seems that not everything is kosher in plex-land. Plex software engineer is recommending users to move over to Jellyfin, not a good sign.

Guess I dodged a potential bullet after switching to Jellyfin after Plex decided to strip away remote streaming from the free tier and raise their prices like crazy.
