I'd like to add another exhaust, but I'd have to cut the case, and if I did that, it would void my warrenty, so I'm kind of stuck...
But thank you all again for helping me out!
Okay, so the heatsink wasnt feeling hot, so I reseated it. Load is down to 50! Thank you guys so much! I still dont know if that's too much? But it's definatly a huge improvement, so thnak you guys so much!
The heat sink now still doesnt get too hot, maybe I did a bad job or re seating? Then...
This mobo is a mATX, thats why I mentioned the tower size, so you guys wouldnt think it was form factor, and therefore less ventilation, I don't know.
Anyways, I'll try feeling the HSF on load now, I'll post how it feels.
I'm sorry, while I was writing my last post, I forgot that anyone had asked for the mobo model. Its an MSI RS480M2/RX480M2 (MS-7093). Thats what everest says at least. MS-7093 is the part number if I'm not mistaken?
Anyway, sorry about that. Also, I dont know if this is of any relevance, but...
This is the 939, everything stock. 76F in my room, though the case is under my desk, so it doesnt get the best air flow.
My cooling setup came with just an 80mm fan for exhaust and a psu fan. Since then Ive upgraded to a 2 fan psu, a better 80mm fan (if I can fit a 92mm in there I'm going to)...
I'm sorry for making another one of these, but I searched and couldnt find anything, and I really ened to know. I have an a64 3200, not overclocked. I'm using the HSF and thermal paste that came already installed in the computer.
My temps are:
Idle 38-40
Load 58-60
I know these are high...
So should i just get one mroe stick of 256? It seems like that will give me the best preformance for the lowest cost. Then again, it cant run in dual channel unless they are all identical sticks right? Or am I wrong again?
Thanks again for all the help guys!
I do have four slots actually, but i've heard it is illadvisable to run all memory slots? Or is that just a rumor? Besides it is still 60 bucks... Maybe I'll just stick with 3x256
Thanks for all the advice guys!
Right now I'm doing some upgrades to my computer, and next up is the cooling. I'm using a stock HSF, and it is terrible. I want to find a new one, but I don't know much about them. I'm not looking for a huge $60 enthusiast HSF, but something that will keep my non-overclocked a64 3200 below 40C...
No no no, I'm not adding the 2x512, I dont have room for that. I would replace the old ram with it, therefor running in dual channel (and 2T? I don't knwo much about ram).
