Thanks for all the suggestions!
To this point, I have not found a stable O/C tool to work with this board in windows so I am in and out of bios. I dont have anything on the machine (brand new) so if I mess up windows its no big deal.
I have Corsair XMS 667 DDR2 in the box. Should be...
Thanks guys!
Just a little update for anyone who is working with this MB...
I was able to get the thing stable (so far) at a 30% o/c. This is running the chip at 2.75ghz which is pretty fast. Im very happy with that. This is on stock core voltage but I had to drop my mem divider to 1/2...
I have read a lot of stuff indicating that I should be able to O/C my E6400 to 2.8 or so on air.
I have an Asus SS cooler and an intel D975XBX mb... I have taken the thing up to a 15% o/c (2.45GHZ) and it was able to successfully complete a benchmark. How much higher do you think that I...

Then here is another question. I dont think that I want to permanently mod the board. Intel support indicates that new destop tools/utilities are coming out that are more compatible with the conroe cores. If the desktop manager were modified to make use of the vcore settings (if its even...
Thx... I know which points... do you think that is what all the reviewers did though? It seems odd to review a board and talk about modifying the vcore and then not mention this mod...
just seems very odd to me.

A question for the group... its about the MB but it also has to do with O/C so I dont know exactly where to post it...
I am the proud owner of a new system that has me somewhat at a loss. I recently purchased an intel D975XBX motherboard and a Core 2Duo E6400 with the expectation that I...
