    I have also understood that operate as dual channel, the sticks have to be of the same capacity. Otherwise, the system runs as single channel.

    Ordered the Vostro 1500. Came to more than $300 less than an equally equipped Inspiron 1520. :D But I simply don't understand Dell's pricing strategies :confused: Does anyone? Hope mine is not plagued by the infamous high-pitched noise plaguing the current gen of 1520s. :(

    It may have been a better/safer option to buy the bag from Dell when ordering the laptop. I'm sure Dell sells only bags that fit their laptops. Perhaps you can order from them if the one you have on order does not fit?
