Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
You are putting too much emphasis on temperature. Unstable over clocks will often crash before they reach a high temperature. Prime is great in these situations.
The purpose of using low settings is to take the video card out of the equation.
It is true you don't get an absolute measure of performance, but you do get a relative rating compared to other CPUs.
The problem I see with these "stable-for-what-I-do" overclocks are that you then have to worry about pushing your computer too hard.
I like the peace of mind that stress tests provide.
I never have to say to myself "Wait, I should not do this because it's too CPU intensive."
I'm planning a new sandy bridge build that will primarily be used for gaming. This will be my first system with an SSD so haven't had much experience with them.
The motherboard I'm planning on is an ASRock P67 Extreme4 .

Windows 7 does indeed support 120hz. I got my crt at that refresh rate using this:

I was reading the LG W2363D manual and it says that thru-mode is inactivated when you...
I've seen people mention the LG has 0 input lag in a couple places. What is ment by this? Surely they don't mean absolute 0.
I'm looking for something to replace my CRT for gaming and I would like to get an LCD with the lowest possible input lag.
