I see, so I should be fine running in a x8/x8/x8/x8 setup with PCI-e 3.0 then. With a card like the GIGABYTE G1.Sniper 3, it lists 4 PCI-e 3.0 slots (x16/x16/x8/x8). When running 4 cards, I'm guessing those (2) x16 slots become x8 slots?

Ah, forgot that little detail. A PCI-e 3.0 x8 channel can still handle 8GB/s of bandwidth right? How much does a 7970 top out at, 6Gbps?

I know it isn't the same drive that I sent in lol. The warranty on the drive I received is the same as the drive I sent in, so they didn't give me a new warranty. Just hoping this thing lasts at least until the end of the warranty.
