    Windows 8 Ultra Fast Boot UEFI GOP

    Can someone explain what UEFI Ultra Fast Boot does exactly? Why is it only supported with Windows 8 and not Windows 7 (assuming Win7 is installed in UEFI mode)? Is there something special about the Win8 UEFI boot loader that's not in Win7's to enable this?
