    I actually solved the problem, ccc now lists 4gpu`s 2 6 4 0 It was powercolor who placed a yellow sticker just over the back edge of where you plug in the crossfire link, once removed it worked... However i have a new problem , upon cold booting the comp i get a no ati device installed...

    Sorry but i can chose.... [Solved] Powercolor had kindly stuck a yellow circle sticker on the back side of the crossfire pins. after removing the cards and comparing them i noticed it. once removed and booted back up, i now have the pull down box and enabled 4gpu`s. now cod 4 runs insane...

    well cod4 shows that it is only running 1 3870x2. removing 1 card, i still get the same frame rate. i tried crossfire with a spare 3870x2 ddr3 version and that shows up in ati crossfire menu as 3 gpu`s. Under ccc overdrive 4 3870x2`s are shown. why when i add the new card does crossfire...

    Heres a screan shot. theres a drop down menu that shows the following. cant seem to attach files here???? Anyway it lists Radeon 3870x2 [p223w] for the first one . Radeon 3870x2 for the second. Presume the first one is the display as thats my monitors model number.

    gpu-z says 2 gpu cores enabled, but the drop down box shows all 4. If i click each one, 3 are enabled but the 3rd one down says disabled. crossfire is detected in ccc but theres no drop down box to select 2.3.4 gpu`s. Just a ticked box is all thats there.

    Yes the drive needs rma. Although i might take it back the the store first and see what they say. Today i booted up the comp and had to wait for scandisk to finnish. So from shutting down last night something happened, think it was corrupted indexes. thnx for the suggestions.

    Well i re-built the array,still no luck. As a last ditch attempt i flashed the drive to the latest ad14 firmware. Still same error though. so i have 1 drive that is ok and the other that is constantly flagging a smart error.. xp64 loads ok, however vista64 fails. this is a dual boot raid0...

    I'll never buy another ABIT mobo again.

    i'll join you and never buy abit boards again. had a few older ones in the past and always had the bios die totally. this new micro one is no different. hyperthreading is borked for regular p4's and i have some dots that are on the boot up logo.
