Thanks for testing this. By default, Movie picture mode usually has the best accuracy. Just make sure you switch from 'active' to 'static' HDR tone mapping and leave ST.2084 at 0. The peak brightness setting on all QD-OLED monitors is a mixed bag. Often the 'off' setting or TrueBlack400 mode... -

Has anyone checked how much black crushing is present on this model in HDR content? You can use either this or this black clipping test pattern on youtube to determine the lowest gray level it can display in HDR. Make sure you're in a dark room for this test. -

You don't need advanced service menu access to change the maxlux setting because it's under SVC -> Option_hdmi. Here is a video showing the menu on this exact OLED G8 32" G80SD monitor. I think you will need a service remote to access the menu unless there's a way to do it with the mobile... -

Looks like another advantage vs the Asus which tftcentral said crushed everything below box 6. Maybe the slight gamma curve dip they showed on this MSI was done on purpose to avoid the crushing. Hope they add a menu in the future to allow selecting alternate gamma curves - 2.2, 2.4, etc. -

Wouldn't surprise me if it just appears randomly on Amazon at any moment the way their QD-OLED TVs did. Samsung Electronics (not the Display panel division) just doesn't appear interested in generating much pre-launch media buzz for these products. -

One thing to keep an eye out for...Samsung's older OLED panels used in laptops were very unstable depending on what's on the screen and panel brightness setting. So you could get a perfect calibration with 10% windows, then change the pattern window size or adjust menu brightness setting and... -

Oh, in that case gamma would only be available for SDR. Typically in the 2.2 - 2.4 range to properly view that SDR test pattern. Maybe someone running desktop in SDR mode can check the same pattern? Link.
