Alot of CRT experts in this thread. Ok, those of us who own 2070sb and the rebadged versions, what does the 'constant brightness' setting really do on a 2070sb? Does it crank up the g2 voltage and ruin the color temperature? It says it's a setting for aging monitors but really is it a gimmick...
Look I have an IQ of 3, can you just humor me for the hell of it and set your perfectly calibrated monitor to 100% contrast and 100% brightness at 9300k and tell me what 'middle screen spot' luminance value your display calibrator reads?
Ok so let me ask you this, you have it set at 9300k, you have your typical brightness test REC pattern bars displayed. What luminance cd/m2 will you arrive at with the correct calibrated brightness level? Also what brightness percentage are you then on?
Obviously if you have a fully calibrated...
Huh...this is interestering. This post from 2003 claims their calibrated 6500k 255, 255, 255 2070sb was only putting out 72cd on I'm assuming the non-superbright modes.
I'd say I'm doing pretty well with 73cd on the 2060u's text mode with deep blacks.
What do you guys think?
What kind of luminance are you guys getting with your calibrated 6500k screens?
My 2060u is getting 73cd on 'text mode' with the RGB settings cranked just before color bleeding
On 'normal mode' it goes up to about 87cd at 6500k. Normal mode at 77% brightness is only usable for gaming because...
He isn't sure but he says he's going to have them fixed or at least have them professionally rebuilt to see if he can rebuild another few good ones from his collection.
"If you set 1600x1200 85 Hz on Windows panel without any custom resolution setting, the driver uses DMT with timings different from both CVT and GTF because this resolution is on the DMT VESA list with those custom timings."
I've spent too much time watching Joe Rogan....can you explain in more...
I notice in CRU that under the timing methods there is the default 'manual choice', Automatic - CRT standard and Automatic - Old standard.
Given my 2060u, which timing mode should I use?
Windows automatically selected 1600x1200 at 85hz when I plugged in the monitor through the DPU-3000 without...
Hi Guys, I just did this video about my investigations into getting the best signal from the Sunnix DPU3000 to my 2060u. It has vastly improved my display quality.
